For packaging you want the install-nokeys rule not install.

Unit tests - NilClass problem
Hi!
Yesterday I started to write my unit tests for the fist time using
rails. I''m using this method:
http://blog.codahale.com/2005/12/23/a-rails-howto-simplify-your-unit-tests/
My customer_test.rb looks like this:
require File.dirname(__FILE__) + ''/../test_helper''
class CustomerTest < Test::Unit::TestCase
fixtures :customers

Generated test files and bad require 'test_helper'
Why do the generated test files have: require ''test_helper''
It cannot obviously find the file because it''s located in a
subdirectory. That''s annoying.

Problem running unit tests
I am running Rails 1.1.2 with Ruby 1.82-15. My database is Postgresql. I
haven''t had any problems generating models, migrations, using scaffolds, and
generally building and using my application, but I haven''t been able to get
testing to work. I initially just ignored the problem and kept developing,
but would like to add proper testing from here on out.

[PATCH 2/2] ruby: tests: Give each test class and method a unique name.
'tc_410_close_event.rb' was not being run. You could prove this by
simply inserting "exit 1" into that test.
The reason is unclear, but by renaming every class and method in the
tests to be unique, this ensures the tests are run.

After Rails 2.3.2 upgrade: superclass mismatch for class TestCase (TypeError)
I upgraded a working app from rails 2.1 to 2.3.2. Now when I run rake
test:units I get this error: /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/
activesupport-2.3.2/lib/active_support/test_case.rb:17: superclass
mismatch for class TestCase (TypeError)
I generated a new test app and all tests run OK.
For the upgrade I ran rake:update and renamed the class in test_helper
to ActiveSupport::TestCase. Also renamed

SslRequirements plugin and mocha
Hi. I''m loving mocha but have ran into a problem with using the mocha
plugin with a project that has the SslRequirement plugin. It seems
there is some conflict between the two? Any ideas?

better way to include helpers into application controller/test_helper?
Right now, I have the following in my application controller - and a
simliar version is duplicated in test_helper. There must be a better
way to include common functionality like this that gets used across
layers? Maybe at the very least a way to include it at the class
level and instance level with one line?

How I provide a session object to Functional Tests?
People,
I''m looking at p. 152 in the Rails book where he talks about testing
controllers [ functional tests ].
First he shows a method, test_login_with_valid_user, which tests
that it''s possible to login with a valid user/password combo.
Then, he talks about extracting the code he just wrote and placing it
into a login method inside of test_helper.rb
Once the method is there,

OpenSSH portability & buildsystem fixes
Hi,
I recently ported OpenSSH to my hobbyist operating system. The portable
release is very straightforward to work with, but it had a few minor
issues where it assumes the existence of things that might not be on a
POSIX 2008 system. This are the list of issues I encountered that I
believe makes sense to upstream.
