1.0-test65
http://dovecot.org/test/ If dovecot-auth was crashing with you, this release should fix it. I don't know when it did though, I just applied a patch from Andrey Panin with that description :) Fixed also another dovecot-auth crash with Solaris and maybe some other systems. Contains the first attempt of a Dovecot LDA. It's still in pretty ugly shape, but it should work, more or less. I

test65 killed by SIGSEV
Hi, I had successfully set up dovecot-1.0-test62 + ldap pass/user db, but now I'm encoutering a SIGSEV problem with a similar set up of a brand new dovecot-1.0-test65 installation. The auth process is killed by a SIGSEV as reported in the error log file : dovecot: Mar 30 17:06:59 Error: child 28291 (auth) killed with signal 11 To be precise, the problem occurs in the "ldap_lookup_pass" function (auth/passdb-ldap.c) just before loging the lda...

Visibility of .subscriptions and .customflags
Hi, I upgraded to test65 from 0.99 (mostly to get the namespace feature) and now it seems my .subscriptions and .customflags are showing up as mail folders in my IMAP client (Eudora). If I try and open those folders, of course I get an error. How can I configure dovecot so that these aren't displayed to my IMAP...

virtual user question
...The problem is that our virtual users passwd files are kept in seperate directories so /etc/virtual/%d/passwd, but I can't use the variable substitution in the dovecot.conf file as it results in a load error because it won't translate the %d. I'm using the latest development release, test65. I read in the config file that you can use many passdb's but do I have to put them all in there or is there a way to use some sort of substitution? The other issue I'm having is when I try to test the connection (with a hard coded path to passwd) it fails auth if I pass the username &quo...

1.0-test66
...newmail notifications are skipped and not only for FETCH command. - LDAP crashfixes - Changed FETCH to return smaller items first. Should fix all kmail and Thunderbird problems. Removed tb-negative-fetch workaround as it shouldn't be needed anymore. - Cache file was breaking constantly with test65 - Blocking passdb fixes and proper RPA realm support patches from Andrey - in-memory indexes should be working again if someone wants to use them for some reason (:INDEX=MEMORY) - gzipped mbox plugin http://dovecot.org/patches/1.0/zlib-plugin.tar.gz - SORT crashfix - Some mbox rewriting fixes...

Multiple auth method problem
Hi, I'm having issues getting the multiple authentication methods of dovecot 1.0-test65 to work correctly on NetBSD. I am combining a MySQL database of virtual host accounts with the system password database of local machine accounts. Both work correctly when enabled on their own, but when enabled together only the one listed first in the "auth default" section of doveco...

corruption and errors in dovecot-stable
Hi, We switched from dovecot 0.99.something to 1.0-stable (on FreeBSD 4.10) a few days ago and have been seeing many errors and one corrupted mailbox so far. Almost everyone uses mbox format, and most users primarily use SquirrelMail; I use Apple Mail and Thunderbird, as well as accessing the mailboxes locally with Mutt, and have not noted any visible problems. There have been several of
