Parallel Processing and Linear Regression
...rd regression
packages lm(), hccm(), and others within a parallel environment? Most of
the packages I've found only deal with iterative processes (bootstrap) or
simple linear algebra. While the latter might help, I'd rather not program
the estimation code. I'm currently using a IA-64 Teragrid system through UC
San Diego.

[Bug 958] patch to support GSI GSSAPI mechanism
...and is
implemented by the Globus Toolkit (http://www.globus.org/toolkit/).
We've been using GSI with OpenSSH for over 3 years, using Simon
Wilkinson's OpenSSH GSSAPI patch, and in that time "GSI-enabled"
OpenSSH has become important software for grid computing on, for
example, the TeraGrid (http://www.teragrid.org/).
Now that OpenSSH includes GSSAPI support for Kerberos, we'd be pleased

I know this has come up before; but is the HPN patch (or elements thereof)
currently being considered for integration in to the OpenSSH code base? Are
there pending issues (buffer management, none cipher, etc) which still need
to be addressed?
We have been using HPN-SSH for over a year now, and like others, have
observed significant performance improvement over standard OpenSSH. I can

UID/GID access control in Lustre
Hello list members,
I started to develop a kernel module which hooks into Lustre 2.3 for
controlling data access based on nid and uid/gid. The background
is the following: Here at GSI we have currently a reserved uid/gid space
which partner institutes are using to access our exported Lustre mounts.
However, we currently have no mechanism to control (guaranty) that the
reserved uid/gid space are
