Kolmogorov-Smirnov test

see below. This two test return difrent result and i don't know which is
properly. Which result is properly? The first test return lower D = 0.0234
and lower p-value = 0.00304. The lower 'D' indicate that distribution
function (empirical and teoretical) coincide but low p-value indicate that i
can reject hypotezis H0. For another side this p-value is most higer than
p-value from second test (2.2e-16). Which result, test is most propertly?

Samba-to-samba migration
Hi all,
I have a Samba box (Mandrake 8.1, Samba 2.2.2). I have another hard disc
that has Mandrake 9.0 + Samba 2.2.7 on it. I am looking to install this
other hard disc into the Mandrake 8.1 box and migrate everything over.
Do I need to do anything other than copy the contents of /etc/samba
(smb.conf, secrets.tdb etc) over to the new hard disc to ensure that our

Howto calculate MS from a unbalanced data
Hi,
I make a nested lme analysis, it is ok.
The estructure is:
lme(y~x,random=~1|x/animal)
It is no the exactly formula, but the teoretical formula. The real formula
have a new variable with x/animal group.
Now I try to construct a nested lme table like the traditional anova table to
presentation of the data.

compute coefficient of determination (R-squared) for GLM (maximum likelihood)
Dear,
I want to compute coefficient of determination (R-squared) to complement AIC
for model selection of
multivariable GLM.
However, I found this is not a built-in function in glm. neither is it
available through reviewing the question in the R-help archive.
Please kindly help and thanks a lot.

Cannot compile - missing <make>
This is the very first time I ever tried to compile anything since
college.
I'm using SCO 5.0.5.
I installed GNU gcc and the Linker package(s) from my SCO dist disc.
After running ./configure --with-smbwrapper, I can't find `make` to
continue and compile ...
My book, Using Samba (O'Reilly), says that `make` and then `make install`
should be my next step. It also mentions that

linux server completely hangs copying files with samba
hi,
i'm experiencying a strange problem with a mandrake 9.0 machine,
kernel 2.4.19, samba (different versions, including latest).
when I copy large amount of data from any win98 machine to a share
directory on linux, after a random time the linux machine hangs; not
responding even to ctrl-alt-canc, only possibility is to reset.
