I don''t know what has happened because know I can''t even get this guest

Partial transferred files useless at resume, compare-dir can help ?
So, my use case is :
1. lot of connections over dial-up lines
2. need to transfer safely A SINGLE BZIPPED FILE to the server
3. if dial-up line fails, it's automatically restarted after 5 minutes
and transfer start again
I heard about the --partial option in order to keep the partial
transferred file. I thought that rsync will apply his incremental check
and update alghoritm on that

Even between 2 Linux computers, transferring by ftp the file at 2.2
Mbytes/sec isn't well enough. With a 4 Mbytes/sec I would be satisfied.
Do you have any idea how I could enhance Samba's performance in this
situation ?
Thanks for your patience,

The old booting problem partially solved
So, I thought that maybe there is something more deeper into CentOS xen
kernel which causes the problem and I have installed a Fedora Core 5
x86_64.
Configured again ns1:
kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-1.2316.fc5xenU"
ramdisk = "/boot/initrd-2.6.20-1.2316.fc5xenU.img"
builder=''linux''
memory = 384
name = "ns1"
