Software E.C. Along with Tellabs
Since putting my Tellabs EC into place around 2 weeks ago, the echo problem has almost been eliminated. Reports of some very faint echo, but everybody is happy. My question is, if I were to also turn on the Asterisk Software EC, would this remove any residual echo that may make it past the Tellabs Hardware EC. Than...

Tellabs and a PRI
Another question, Is anybody using the Tellabs 2572 EC with a PRI. When we moved from our analog lines to a PRI, I thought it would be simple stuff moving the EC to the PRI. Changed signaling, made sure that channel 24 wasn't being ECd and everything came up. But, I was getting complaints of random echo on the PRI. Local echo. Also, we...

Tellabs 2572 EC Photos here.
Hello Dan, Have a look at this link: http://www.adcomcorp.com/asterisk/tellabs I got those pictures up there, may be of help. In essence, 1 pair is either a tx pair or an rx pair. If I recall, Orange and Green should be one side, and blue brown should be the other side. I tried to upload them to the wiki (even 40% size) but they didn't show up for some reason... Fil...

Echo Canceller Wiring (Tellabs.. HOWTO..?)
...nd wanted to post this out to the list to solicit feedback (and if my assumptions are correct, hopefully help others out)... If anyone out there knows anything about wiring up an Echo Can, and my outline below is incorrect, please let the me/list know.. I have posted the Documents I received from Tellabs at: http://regent.mindworks.net/echo/ If you look at Page 6 of the Shelf PDF, you can see there are four 50 pin connectors. These connectors are as follows: Receive In (RX-in?) Send Out (TX-out?) Send In (TX-in?) Receive Out (RX-out?) Am I off base yet? Now, in order...

Tellabs 2572 Configuration Advice?
Can anyone share any advice / documentation on how to configure a Tellabs 2572 T1 echo canceller? I connected one between a T100P and an Adtran TA750 FXO/FXS channelbank, but when echo cancellation is active I get a LOT of snap-crackle-pop (and other problems) on the line. The 2572 has a bunch of configuration options and they're impossible to guess without docume...

Tellabs Echo Canceller
I am getting ready to experiment with the Tellabs 2752 echo canceller. I have a 255D shelf (and power supply), but am struggling a little on connecting the echo canceller to a PRI. The shelf has 4 25-pair amphenol connectors. The two on the line side are marked "Receive In" and "Send Out". The 2 connectors on the drop sid...

Tellabs echo can, can someone wire mine up for $?
Hello All, I have a tellabs 2572 EC, and I was wondering if anyone with experience can wire this up for me... I have the proper tools and info, but not the time. It's easier to send it out and get it done. I know kb1_kanobe originally started the wiki thread, and rather than risking the card, would it be possible for...

Hardwiring a Tellabs echo canceller - help req
Hi All, Greg has been a huge help getting me going with this tellabs echo can, but I'm still having some problems getting it to work... I suspect I wired it up incorrectly, so I thought I'd see if anyone can point me in the right direction. Digium tech support pointed me to this doc for a standard T1 cable: http://www.arcelect.com/RJ48C_and_RJ48S_8_positio...

Adit 600 and echo
I'm having issues with echo. My setup is Polycom IP501 phones connected to an Adit 600 via T100P. 13 Lines going to the Adit. All echo so far is on the local side (Employees hears own voice, but only on some calls). Watching the channel with ztmonitor, I notice that TXGAIN is pegged out most of the time. RXGAIN is anywhere between 45 and 60%. Is it safe to assume that playing around

two tellabs 2572 echo board in a 253c mounting assembly?
Anyone gotten two of the 2572 echo canceller cards to work in a 253c mounting assembly? I can get one to work, but when I install two, one always fails. I've tried all my cards solo in the enclosure, on each side, and they all work properly when only 1 is installed, however, when I install two, one of them will come up, but the other always fails. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Tweaking AGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR
Using TDM400's here and I have tried everything to cure the echo. I have used the Milliwatt test from the telco and from asterisk to tune RX/TX gain via a patched ztmonitor. What happens is I experience midcall echo. I turned on aggressive_suppressor and it seems to do great. The problem happens with misc. noise around the office will cause it to mute the other end of a phone call while

tftpd multicast option kills other negotiation options
..., all options are discarded and a oack is newer sent. The client works fine with the atftpd server. I am not after an implementation of the multicast feature. However, the server should not discard the other options. Any thoughts about this? more cpu intensive echo cancellers ?
...e current software cancelers into using more CPU (and hopefully doing a better job, close to a hardware canceler), I only have 10 lines, and a single call takes 0.5% cpu, I would have no problem if it went up to 5-10% if they would work better. Or should I just give up now and buy the channel bank, tellabs hardware echo canceler and a T1 pci card? (hope TDM400P cards have decent resale value ;) -- Thanks, Gerard Saraber Network Admin, Rarcoa, Inc. (630) 654-2580 x11 gsaraber@rarcoa.com

HW Echo Cancellers
Hi, To solve echo problems, I'm considering 2 alternatives. 1> Sangoma A104d - I can't find support for asterisk 1.2.1 2> Desktop echo canceller - http://www.oriontelecom.com/echo_canceller/desktop/e1_ec_desktop.html - I want to know where to buy and price. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks. Jason. p.s. : asterisk cli command "reload" can change rx_gain and

Best Echo Canceller.

I was wondering if anybody else > was using a hardware echo canceller capable of 24 T1's, how well it works and an > approximate price range:) > {clip} I assume you meant a 24 channel T1... Regardless, even if you meant 552 B channels the older (now obsolete) Tellabs 257x cancellers work quite well and are very inexpensive, however you may still encounter issues if you are facing any very long endpaths (ie. > 64ms, such as with digital cordless handsets). TE411P Really Bad Echo ORION
The Orion echo canceller is just ok. The Tellabs units work just as well if you don't mind 10 mins of soldering. I have the orion running with an adit 600 and a TE110P. Echo cancel is fairly good, but I have loads of problems with DTMF digits. -Darren ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.di...
