Teleport 1.0.1
I just released the Teleport gem - easy Ubuntu server setup via teleportation. Teleport sets up servers by "teleporting" to the machine and running itself there. It installs Ruby, then follows the instructions laid out in your Telfile to customize the server. https://github.com/rglabs/teleport The role/server setup is similar to Capistrano, though the syntax is slightly different. You can also run "telep...

File associations in Wine
Hi, How to get file associations to work from wine/win applications? Have got Teleport Pro (Web spider) to work and files saved successfully. The files are displayed within Teleport (*.htm, *.html, *.txt etc) but when I click on the files to open them the links to the Linux programs associated with these files are obviously not there. How can these associations be fixed? Best regards,

database-like natural join operations in R?
I am a relative neophyte to R and am faced with a problem of constructing a reduced data set from a diversity of separate sources. What operations are available in R for combining and matching attributes from separate data.frames? Nothing seems to work..
I just downloaded and installed the 2001-05-10 release of wine, and nothing seems to work. Examples; SimEarth can't install. Crashes immediatly. SimCity draws everything in funky colors and then breaks. SimLife can't load files, and you can't select options in the drop-down boxes. MechWarrior3 crashes on install; hangs while copying the sound data. Internet Explorer, which somehow

smbmount filesystem weirdness
Hi all, In my effort to get RCS archive access via smbmount, I stumbled across another interesting bit of behaviour with smbmount that could be playing a part - but does not involve RCS. Normally, under Linux - or any Unix - the following sequence of commands works: [cpratt@cpratt-desk2 ~/dud]$ ls -la total 3 drwxr-xr-x 2 cpratt users 1024 May 12 18:09 . drwx------ 32 cpratt users

Re: ESS & R data import problems
I have a similar question, I know about --vsize, but I use R under Emacs using ESS. I know there is an easy way to call R from ESS with command line options but I don't remember how. I can't find help on this in ESS documentation or in R documentation. Could someone please remind me how this is done. ------------------------------------ | Robert Denham | |
