Grandstream surveillance devices
I just got a spam from telephonydepot (which I invited to spam me, so I guess I have to call it legit marketing :) ), and they have some new device that is meant to be a surveillance camera with audio, but the interface is POE and SIP! A cool idea. Anyone playing with this toy yet? I am trying to wrap my head around how asterisk...

Psssst - hey buddy, wanna' get a job? (follow-up to asterisk-biz please)
...ist only. I have set the reply-to, but I fear mailman will strip it off ... Please don't flame me for posting to -users, I'm just not sure who lives on -biz as the (signal/noise | net.kook | troll) factor has been pretty bad on that list lately (poor Rehan!!) ;-) Telephony Depot (www.telephonydepot.com) is always looking for talented people who get excited about open telephony platforms such as Asterisk (in its various forms), FreeSwitch, Yate etc, and who just plain find telephony hardware strangely fascinating ;-) Despite the media's recent report that VoIP is Dead* (are you kid...

Polycom 330/320
How do you guys like the 330 and 320? I've been looking at this as my "standard" phone, since it's relatively cheaper than the 501 which is the phone I currently push with my PBX systems. Most of my customers do not use more than one line per phone, so having 3 lines on the 501 is not necessarily useful. Also, I read that the phone offers TLS security. What does that mean?

Polycom 330 + Asterisk, phone locks up. * key will do it
Hello all, We have an Asterisk server that has worked without issue for a while. Before, only Sipura and Polycom 500 series phones were used. Recently, we've added a few POE switches and 20 or so Polycom 330's. The 330's seem to lock up often. One easy way to do this is by hitting the * key. I looked thru the XML files for dialplan and what not, nothing stood out.

Polycom 650 freezing on Transfer
All, Has anyone experienced a problem with the Polycom 650 phone freezing when you try to do a transfer? I am running asterisk 1.2.20.1 with Polycom SIP version 2.1.1.0052 and boot rom version 3.2.3.0002. I have Polycom 501 phones that work perfectly with the same software versions. The 650 phone; when I hit transfer the caller is placed on hold and the phone is still operational. As

PRI Reset
Is it normal for a PRI to reset the inactive B channels periodically(like once every hour). I'm seeing on my asterisk console successful restarts, just curious as this is all new to me. ________________________________ This e-mail, facsimile, or letter and any files or attachments transmitted with it contains information that is confidential and privileged. Polycom 501 Phones Rebooting
Hello, At one of our locations, we have started to see Polycom 501s (running 1.6.7 firmware) randomly reboot. We have taken packet traces of the phones to determine if there is something odd in the Layer 2 or 3 of the network that might cause it, and have not seen anything strange. There are no errors on the ports. This appears to be affecting POE powered as well as AC powered phones. The Polycom
