I have a couple questions that I will submit separately. When I have IPchains running I can't get my samba box to show up in network neighborhood, but when I turn ipchains off the box shows up. ...I get a login box for username and password. It starts by telling me the username or password is wrong. I can enter any username, but the box keeps coming back. ...am new to samba and I would like to start with a simple smb.conf that would guarantee access to a share by anyone, then start adding security measures until I have a secure working config.
