CDRs, Conferencing, and MeetMe
We are developing an on-demand teleconferencing solution. We will be billing per-minute/per-user. I've successfully gotten Asterisk to write CDR data to a postgres database, but with the way I've got things setup right now the CDR does not have the dialed conference number. We need this information in order to be able to bill. As...

Teleconferencing using Zapta cards.
Hi, I would like to use the asterisk box with zapta card to enable some conferencing. I would like to use only TDM connections without VoIP. I'd like also use the Meetme app. I have some questions: 1. Does any one use it for a few conference rooms at ones ? 2. Is it possible to restrict the number of users connected to one conference room ? Regards. Pawel.

Small office setup/using analog lines w/ Asterisk
Hi, We recently tried installing Asterisk for a small office. We figured the safest way to go would be to buy from someone who sold equipment specifically for Asterisk and to use a consultant that they recommended. However ... it didn't turn out so great. Sound quality is terrible -- the echo is pretty bad, and there are popping noises, too. Callers say that people on the Asterisk end

Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down... http://weblog.infoworld.com/yager/archives/2007/10/suns_zfs_is_clo.html Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing comment: "If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually become ubiquitously implemented
