TE210P digim card PRI problem
Dear all
I have now install TE210P 2 port E1 card on asterisk 1.4.10 on centOS 5 but thing is that i have connect 1 E1 port with avaya E1 back 2 back and second E1 card on Direct Telcom for outgoing for outside now i got this error when i call on avaya PRI
asterisk think PRI_CPE and remote end also CPE
i have configure /etc/zaptel.conf

spandsp Makefile.patch
OK...I pulled down spandsp 0.0.1k today and followed the instructions.
However, I'm not seeing a Makefile.patch anywhere. I've looked through
the last few months of messages and haven't found any reference to it
missing for anyone else either...so...what am I messing up here?

asterisks and vonage
to start with i am new to asterisks and i am also a telcom idiot.
with that said i have one vonage line i would like to hook up in my soon to be built Asterisk ippbx server.
Now with the one Vonage (with call waiting) line can i receive more one call using an auto attendant route the call the approiate extention?

Zaptel (Junghanns 4BRI card) to cell phone problem
We have set up an HP DL380 with 3 4BRI cards, Fedora core 2 (kernel 2.6.10)
and asterisk (bristuff-0.2.0-RC7f with asterisk 1.0.5). 4 ports are
configured in TE mode and connected to the PSTN; the other 8 are in NT mode
and connected to isdn phones.

Deploying libvirt with live migration

question about PSTN pickup
hi all,
you'll have to excuse the ignorance (i'm a software guy, not a telcom
guy..)
Is there any way to know if a channel has been answered by an automatic
system (like voicemail) rather than a human being?
Specifically, I want to use a .call to make a call on a channel and only do
something if a person answers, not a machine of any kind. Is this even

Number portability in other parts of the world.
Are phone numbers portable in other countries?
Are the same rules and conditions that exist here in the States mirrored
elsewhere?
How does a person in Europe go fully VoIP and still keep the main
number?
Do they use call forwarding?
Is their another way to use an origination carrier without loosing your
number?

t1 won't dial outbound
I've posted this problem a couple of times before with little or no
response. Basically I have a T100P in my * box. Incoming calls are
working great. However outgoing calls are not working at all. I've
copied a previous post into this message which should have all the
necessary info. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Static on outgoing calls using either X100P or TDM400P
Hello. I've seen several posts talking about line quality using Digium
cards that are sharing IRQs or on machines where X is running but after
trying all of those fixes I am still having a problem with line static
on outoing calls. BTW, calls that are from one extension to another
extension have no static, however, they have occasional clicks and

ISDN, BRI, PRI, voice over IP, and more...

it with a few analog lines and run it at V.34, but would prefer to use
the PRI card and feed with a few channels. We are only looking at using
about 4 modems at once, at the absolute most.
I can bring in ISDN BRI lines from Qwest through University Telcom, or I
can bring in a single PRI via any number of CLECs, and have the
University transport it to us. The PRI would be far cheaper in the long
run. The problem is finding a way to split the PRI, and Astrisk looks
like it might be it. I also want to start deploying VOIP phones in a
pilot project,...

don't know if this is a Samba question or an OS question. I'm
working on an embedded project (microcontroller, limited RAM)
that reads files from a FreeBSD/Samba (FreeNAS) box using TCP/IP transport on port 445. They're MP3 files so they're
several MB at least. If I request 512 or 1024 bytes each time, I get
1024 bytes back from Samba every time. That's good.

Migrating from Samba2.2.8a+LDAP+PDC to Samba3+ldapsam

real problem is that I must use ldap because I also use ldap for unix
authentication (can that be done with tdbsam and pam?). I read the samba
howto collection, but i dont find any help. The solution must preserve
machines trust accounts and sids.

of the RSA host key. /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts2 only contains RSA
keys, and 4.3p1 (and previous) OpenSSH versions did not produce
any errors.
Is checking DSA keys ahead of RSA keys new in 4.4p1, or is this
just a logging change of a previously unreported error?
