Updated - wxRuby Windows installer available for
...rtcuts. When I edit the properties of a shortcut, and change the "Start in" folder to match the folder where the sample resides, then the problems go away. (As-installed, they all seem to be set to "Start in" the folder where I installed wxRuby, C:\Program Files\wxRuby.) hivex-1.2.7 build failure on Ubuntu 10.04, rpl_getopt, rpl_optind
...result |= 64; } return result; I am able to build hivex 1.2.5 in this environment just fine. I don't need hivexml, but haven't yet figured out how to turn off its build, and suspect other getopt uses will need to be replaced, anyhow. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dan Teitsort

Windows readme and last patch
Kevin, I have attached a readme file for windows, and a patch file for extconf.rb (I slightly tweaked my settings). Tomorrow night I will work in the windows installer. For the this first cut I will do the installer packaging by hand. Big question: Move to SWIG?
A few days ago, someone asked me why I am using wxpp instead of SWIG. The question prompted me to revisit and re-evaluate SWIG, and I now believe it would be best to convert wxRuby to SWIG. SWIG has greatly improved its C++ support since the last time I looked at it, and I think its Ruby support has improved quite a bit as well.
