T1 PRI shows yellow/red alarm
We are running Asterisk version 1.4.23-1, libpri-1.4.9 and zaptel-1.4.12.1 and two Digium TE220Ps. Debugs are set to 10. We have a T1 PRI connected to the telco. Over the last 4-5 days, we have getting Yellow/Red alarms coming from the T1 PRI. The other two ports in use are connected to internal test switches (Avaya Legend/Avaya Definity), and are not showing any errors. /var/log/asterisk...

DAHDI and Oslec
I'm hoping someone can help me here. I've purchased replacement systems for 3 aging 1.4.x installs. I'm hoping to setup Asterisk 11, dahdi 2.6.1 and Oslec. I'm also moving those installs from Mandriva 10.0 to Debian 6.06 (Squeeze). In my testing, the TE220P PCIe cards that I have, the timing was awful on both slots, so I compiled Kernel 3.6.9 from kernel.org. Timing jumped to what I was expecting, so I moved on to recompiling dahdi complete for Oslec. Browsed the Linux source directory for drivers/staging/echo and copied it to the proper tree in the...

Dahdi caused Kernel to segfault
Yesterday, a low-duty production server that I maintain core-dumped. At the time there were only around 2 calls going through it. The strace on the screen made it look like it was caused by Dahdi. The machine is running asterisk-1.6.0.3 dahdi-linux-2.1.0.3 dahdi-tools-2.1.0.2 asterisk-addons-1.6.0 Kernel version 2.6.28 There is a genuine TDM400P (populated witrh 2xFXO cards and 2xFXS cards.

HOWTO/FAQ question (Location: Sweden)
Sorry for this. This is most likely a HOWTO or FAQ question, but it's so much information and documentation to wade through so I hope someone could take a minute to answer anyway. If not, no worries. I'll get to it sooner or later :) I'm trying to understand what Asterisk actually is and the basic workings... I think I've understand what I need to get going, except one thing.
