SAMBA TO AD MIGRATION
...oblem. I actually have a Samba domain based on a smbpasswd backend. I must migrate to an AD 2003 and all is working correctly if I don't select the SID history migration. If I select this 'SID history migration' option, I received a message 'Could not verify Auditing and TcpipClientSupport on Domains' and the end of the message is 'A specified privilege does not exist'. Could someone help me ? In the Microsoft documentation, it is specified that the auditing must be enabled, but Samba can't support it. It is also specified that a regkey must be set to 1 ; how to d...

Samba3 & ADMT, cannot migrate SIDs
...and ADMT. I've established trusts between the Samba 3 domain and the Windows 2003 AD domain. I can use "User Account Migration Wizard" up to the "Account Transition Options". Then of I check the option to Migrate SIDs it fails with - "Could not verify auditing and TcpipClientSupport on domains." Will not be able to migrate Sids. The system cannot find the file specified. Is there something that can be done to enable SID migration from S3?

Migrating user accounts Samba 3.5.3 to Windows 2003 (2008)
...ll prerequisites in places as listed in those postings, however, I still cannot get ADMT to run. It does find the Samba server and recognises it as domain controller for OLDDOMAIN, but when I ask it to migrate SID history as well, I get a rather cryptic error "Could not verify auditing and TcpipClientSupport on domains. Will not be able to migrate Sid's. The system cannot find the file specified." Unfortunately, Aunt Google does not have much on that one... Neither tshark nor Process Monitor nor the Samba logs provided any additional clues (that I would recognise), so this was a dead end f...

Migration of Samba Accounts to Active Directory
...03, and following this guide... http://samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/upgrades.html#id2605434 However, when using the Active Directory Migration Tool (ADMT) to move a user account across (checking the "Migrate SID" checkbox) I get this error... "Could not verify auditing and TcpipClientSupport on domains. Will not be able to migrate Sid's. The procedure number is out of range." I have ensured the Administrator user and password is the same on the 2003 Server and the Samba PDC, and that the user under Samba is a member of the Domain Admins group using the net groupmap command....

Migrating from Samba PDC to AD
Hi@all! I try to migrate the Samba Domain to a new Domain. So I'm using Windows 2003 Server with admt3. The problem now is, how can I migrate the sid's from the Samba domain. The user migration wizard show's me the following error: "could not verify auditing and tcpipclientsupport on the domains. Will not be able to migrate" So the sid's are not taken from the old domain, and so, user profiles are also not migrated!!! I hope someone has solved such a problem... Thanks in advance
