if confusion
Simple question:
Why doesn't the following work? Or what 'R' rule am I missing?
tclass <- "Testing 1 2 3"
if(tclass == "Testing 1 2 3")
{
cat("Testing", tclass, "\n")
}
else
{
cat(tclass, "\n")
}
I get an error 'else' is unexpected.
Thank you.

Brasero/cdrecord/growisofs with selinux users confined to staff_u
Hello CentOS / RedHat / IBM folks!
I am wondering if I can get a communication channel opened with
someone who can affect changes win upstream RHEL? I don't have
support accounts with RHEL, and use CentOS almost exclusively. I did
have a direct email conversation with Mr. Daniel Walsh regarding these
problems, but his answer was to create custom policy to allow what's
being denied, as

selinux + kvm virtualization + smartd problem
Hello,
I'm using HP homeserver where host system run CentOS 6.3 with KVM
virtualization with SELinux enabled, guests too run the same OS (but
without SELinux, but this does not matter).
Host system installed on mirrors based on sda and sdb physical disks.
sd{c..f} disks attached to KVM guest (whole disks, not partitions;
needed to use zfs (zfsonlinux) benefit features). Problem is that

Centos 5 OpenVPN / SElinux
Hi,
I'm running Centos 5 32bit and installed openvpn-2.0.9-1.el5.rf from
Dag Wieers Repo. When OpenVPN is started during boot-up it just shows
an SElinux related error message. When I start OpenVPN manually after
the system has come up completely it works fine.
Here are all the messages from /var/log/messages that are SElinux related:

Having problem getting Asterisk to work on CentOS 7
What are you using for the database - SQLite?
I am using mysql (mariadb).
I am not familiar with SQLlite. Can you access the database from the
console - look up the list of tables - display the contents from a
table? Anything to see if your SQLite is working and has asterisk data
in it.
From your Asterisk console,
|CLI> core show help database|
should give you a list of commands that you

A bug report would probably be helpful.
I'm looking back at the message you wrote describing errors in
ld-2.17.so. I think what's happening is that the policy on your system
includes a silent rule that somehow breaks your system. You'll need

error creating Centos 5.1 x32 dum_U instance on CentOS 5.1 x64
Hi all
This is the first time I try and get Xen working, and want to install a
few CentOS 5.1 32bit and FreeBSD 6.1 VM's on my CentOS 5.1 x64 server.
Trying to get the first one to install is rather trivial, and I keep on
running into errors. At fist I wanted to install it fro the cdrom, so I
used "virt-install --cdrom=/dev/hdc" It booted up, and I could choose my
language, but

Hi!
I am trying libvirt on POWERPC64 with the default settings such as selinux

http://libvirt.org/drvqemu.html#securityselinux is saying that "If

selinux disable but still working
I have some centos 4.4 server. i have disable selinux for some software
problem:
# cat /etc/selinux/config
# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system.
# SELINUX= can take one of these three values:
# enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced.
# permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing.
# disabled - SELinux is fully disabled.

medians on data frame with duplicated rows
Dear list:
I have a data frame with student name, class he attended and marks for
subjects he attended.
Students took second exam if they performed badly in their first attempt. I
want to consider the test scores where they obtain highest median.
there are 6 classes. As a sample case, I will consider only classes A, B
and C.
For class A, Student Raj took first exam and he did not score well.

Question about copying arguments in C.
Hi List,
I'd imagine this is a question that has been answered before, but I
can't seem to track it down, sorry for the duplication if it has.
I am writing an interface for a C library and want to return an S4
class from the 'constructing' method. One of the slots of the argument
to be returned will be filled with one of the arguments passed to the
function. My question is about
