scp setup jailed chroot on Centos7
Dear all I'm looking for instructions on how to setup a jailed chroot directory for user which needs to upload via scp to the server. Especially I miss clear instructions about what needs to be in the jailed directory available, like binaries, libraries, etc... Without jail I get it to work, but I want to prevent user downloading for example /etc folder from the server. Does anybody have a

firewall questions
I'm running Centos 7.8.2003, with firewalld. I was getting huge numbers of ssh attempts per day from a few specific ip blocks. The offenders are 45.0.0.0/24, 49.0.0.0/24, 51.0.0.0/24, 111.0.0.0/24 and 118.0.0.0/24, and they amounted to a multiple thousands of attempts per day. prettyprint problem in CentOS 5.2
I'd like to ask for help with a problem in CentOS 5.2 when printing from the command line with the prettyprint option selected. Program students print out their code with the command: lpr -P<printer_name> -o prettyprint -o job-sheets=none <filename_to_be_printed> The prettyprint option, as you know, puts a banner with file name and date at the top, and uses a small font, and

How to convert stand-alone samba servers to join existing Windows Active Directory domain
We have multiple stand-alone samba (4.2.10 and 4.10.4) file sharing servers with hundreds of local users on each server (not the same on all samba servers) in a CentOS/Oracle Linux (6 and 7) network. We would like to convert these stand-alone servers to join an existing Windows based AD domain without losing data or ownership/permission metadata on these servers. Is there a guide for doing
