bug and patch: strptime first-of-month error in (possibly unsupported use of) "%j" format (PR#9577)
Full_Name: John Brzustowski Version: R-devel-trunk OS: linux (problem under Windows too) Submission from: (NULL) (74.101.124.238) (This bug was discovered by Phil Taylor, Acadia University.) I'm not sure from reading the documentation whether strptime(x, "%j") is meant to be supported, but if so, there is a bug which prevents it from working on the first day of months after

dcpromo on W2k8 R2 server with existing Samba AD domin fails to complete
I’m attempting to stand up a Windows 2008 R2 server as a domain controller to integrate with an existing Samba AD environment with 6x Samba AD servers (4.10.1) and multiple sites. This is the first Windows DC. I have a couple other Win2012 servers that are already domain joined, and ~ 300 Win 10 desktop/laptop hosts I’ve followed the guide on the wiki:

quality -> bitrate
...with. They would consider the bit rate too high if there was a noticeable impact on the catch-all "lag", data transfer latencies on real time game data. Consider that the gaming communication state of the art right now is for the most part ASCII text, text->speech synth or prerecorded taunts. Simply being able to hear your friends' real voices -- at all -- would be a huge leap forward. The whole point is really to blow your friends into tiny bits. The post-mortem epithets are mere icing on the cake. Even more important is the gameplay win. You dont have to take your hands off the c...

Use the -V option when encoding and you should get bitrates. Is Truer Coding Nirvana Possible?
I''ve been web developing for a long time, and last week it felt like the final piece of the puzzle finally fell into place for me with Markaby (no more angle brackets, slashes, closing tags, quotes, etc. Yay!) to reach a state where web development is enjoyable and easy and powerful. I''ve gone from: ASP (NOT .Net), PHP, Perl MySQL CVS Dreamweaver, Frontpage, and numerous

Dungeon Keeper 2 graphics crash? (probably a quick fix)
I switched to Ubuntu last week and have been trying to get some old classics running, and I'm working on Dungeon Keeper 2. I'm very new to Wine and to debugging, so I apologise if this problem is in bugzilla; I was unable to find it as I didn't know which part of the error to focus on! I'm using Wine 1.1.42, Ubuntu 10.04 and DK2 is patched and cracked to the max. When I prompt

The rates are in arbitration, and I doubt they will come out anywhere near that amount. It just isn't feasible, even for large companies. Reember, tradidional

New Program: Abacus Sentry - Port Scan Detector
Hello, I just made available a beta version of a port scan detector that I''ve been working on. The program, called Abacus Sentry, is a port scan/probe detector that offers what I think are a number of unique and useful features: - Runs on TCP or UDP sockets. Configurable by the user to bind to multiples of sockets for increased detection coverage. - Adjustable scan detection value with

CentOS Based Linux Firewall Document
I know that some of you from the list have asked me in the past for a copy of my CentOS based Linux Firewall document. There are also those that have no clue what I am talking about. This is for the former group... There is a new version of my document out. It's changed quite a bit since the last person asked me for it. Some of the changes are: * Updated the scripts in the Useful Shell
