...premature state. Scott seems to be set on
pushing his own agenda, despite my appeals to wait for a couple of weeks so
we can see what comes out of my work. I've repeatedly stated that I'm
willing to work with anyone, including Scott, despite his constant flow of

him, but I wanted to explain why I'm telling you about a side project when
config plugins are still broken.
So my "plan" is simple:
- Fix configuration short term, possibly long term
- Finish the ./configure work so it's easy to tell from...

OK, I'm doing something stupid.
Freshly installed Mandrake 8.1, no Windows anything except some
fonts. Both the included 20010731 and the cooker 20010824
give me the same result when I try to run any Windows setup
from CD: I get a burst of

Issue with the "Xiph license"
Hello!
There is a problem with the current name of the "Xiph license".
All the variantions of this name out there imply at least one of
these two false assumptions:
* that the Xiph license would be a custom license not related
to the BSD license at all
* that the Xiph license would be based on BSD but is not the same
Both is wrong and both hurts Xiph. The license text is

Asterisk "virtual hosting"
Hello,
I am in the peculiar situation to have to set up a PBX for two
independent sites, but operated by the same entity. Yes, I could set
up two VPSs and install Asterisk to each, put common stuff (e.g.
conferencing setup) into Git and share between both using includes,
but for various reasons (among them simplicity and cost), I'd prefer
a single Asterisk instance.
I know I can #include

Modality Test
Dear Readers:
I have two issues in nonparametric statistical analysis that i need
help:
First, does R have a package that can implement the multimodality test,
e.g., the Silverman test, DIP test, MAP test or Runt test. I have seen
an earlier thread (sometime in 2003) where someone was trying to write
a code for the Silverman test of multimodality. Is there any other
tests that can enable me to

Using MySQL to store email?
So Timo,
Have you considered the idea of storing all the email in a MySQL
database? Seems to me that MySQL could somplify all the backend stuff
that everyone struggles with and with replication one could create very
massive and reliable systems. What would it take to use MySQL that way?

Dear Voipsupply, As a small service provider, using you company for the
first time, I'm very disappointed that you have removed the
configuration CD that should have been shipped with the Mediatrix 2102
just to get a few more bucks. I have contacted mediatrix and they have
informed me that the CD's is shipped in every 2102. If I

I do have Unix clients. They work just fine. The Samba AD/DC is the DHCP server.
The Windows and Linux clients get their IP addresses and everyone can see all
the hosts on the domain. for example:

OT: A test with dependent samples.
I am appealing to the general collective wisdom of this
list in respect of a statistics (rather than R) question. This question
comes to me from a friend who is a veterinary oncologist. In a study
that
she is writing up there were 73 cats who were treated with a drug called
piroxicam. None of the cats were observed to be subject to vomiting
prior
to treatment; 12 of the cats were subject to
