puppet-module on Debian
"The nice thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from."
-- Andrew S Tannenbaum
Debian does wonky things when you install a gem from "gem install."
Usually this isn''t a problem unless there are executables to consider.
I am running into that very thing with the "puppet-module" script on my
laptop which runs a flavor of Debian.

Problems with ./config on Mac OS X
My apologies for sending this to such a generic list.
My ultimate goal is to compile Kerberos-aware ssh and scp on my Mac running

I thought, this may be a problem with cyrusd, but I realized, that the error
was somewhere deeper in the system,

RFC - bandwidth optimization idea
I''m interested in all of
- opinions about why this is a good or bad idea
- pointers to similar proposals or products that already exist
- implementation suggestions
This is meant for real time applications that have small available
bandwidth and so they have to consider carefully what''s the best way
to use that bandwidth. I imagine that things happen that cause them
to
