[RFC PATCH 0/2] virtio nvme
Hi all,
These 2 patches added virtio-nvme to kernel and qemu,
basically modified from virtio-blk and nvme code.
As title said, request for your comments.
Play it in Qemu with:
-drive file=disk.img,format=raw,if=none,id=D22 \
-device virtio-nvme-pci,drive=D22,serial=1234,num_queues=4
The goal is to have a full NVMe stack from VM guest(virtio-nvme)
to host(vhost_nvme) to LIO NVMe-over-fabrics

I have trouble install the following perl modules to my Centos 4.2 server
and I need help
Digest::SHA1
Digest::HMAC

Time::HiRes
HTML::Tagset
HTML::Parser
Pod::Usage

I tried "perl -MCPAN -e shell" and then "install Pod::Usage" and I got the

[PATCH RFC v2 02/24] scsi: allocate separate queue for reserved commands
...link I can find now:
>
> https://www.mail-archive.com/linux-scsi at vger.kernel.org/msg83177.html
That was just a question on why virtio uses the per-device tags, which
didn't look like it made any sense. What I'm worried about here is
mixing up the concept of reserved tags in the tagset, and queues to use
them. Note that we already have the scsi_get_host_dev to allocate
a scsi_device and thus a request_queue for the host itself. That seems
like the better interface to use a tag for a host wide command vs
introducing a parallel path.

loop for a large database
Yes, I am a newbie.
I have a data.frame (MyTable) of 1445846 rows and 15 columns with
character data.
And a character vector (MyVector) of 473491 elements.
I want simply to get a data.frame with the count of how many times each
element of MyVector appears in MyTable.
I've tried a loop with : for (i in 1 : length (myvector)) sum (MyTable== i)
but it crashes my computer.
I've also

[RFC PATCH 0/2] Google extension to improve qemu-nvme performance
Hi Rob & Mihai,
I wrote vhost-nvme patches on top of Christoph's NVMe target.
vhost-nvme still uses mmio. So the guest OS can run unmodified NVMe
driver. But the tests I have done didn't show competitive performance
compared to virtio-blk/virtio-scsi. The bottleneck is in mmio. Your nvme
vendor extension patches reduces greatly the number of MMIO writes.
So I'd like to push it

Dag RPM Repo "error"
I'm getting the error below when I try to do a yum update on my server.
It seems that it is looking for an update for my boot loader -
syslinux-3.62-1.el4.rf.i386.rpm, but can't find it via the normal path.
I've tried looking further up the directory tree on
apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en. I've found a place to download it from. [
