I''m very new to Ruby and RoR, have been trying to get it working with no success. I''m on Ubuntu, installed Rails correctly, run scripts for model, controller and scaffold no problem, installed fcgi which now appear in apache header. Re: virsh channel
I understand that. And since socket paths are different on every VM startup - is there a virsh command to get paths of currently running VM? Windows guest and virtio serial port

Possible brainsplit
Hello, I have a problem with my samba4 domain cluster: there are 2 machines, - primary and secondary server. Everything was working fine, but i had a hard drive failure on primary PDC, so i reinstalled and restored a backup to it. Aftrwards i saw the warning about never restoring database from backups. Now I have the following problems: users can login and all group policies are provided, but

Changing active directory user password via LDAP
Hello, lists. I'm struggling to find out, how one can change password of an active directory (based on samba4) user via LDAP. The problem is that if I try to use userPassword parameter: dn: CN=John Smith,cn=Users,DC=domain,DC=com changetype: modify replace: userPassword userPassword: newPassword ldapmodify -v -c -a -f filename.ldif -H ldaps://server.domain.com -D\ administrator at

removing PS/2 keyboard
Hello lists, I wonder, is there a way to remove a PS/2 keyboard from a guest and leave it only with USB bus one? Problem is that if i edit guest (via virsh edit) and change keyboard bus from ps2 to usb, I end up with two keyboards: ps2 and usb one. --

Starting out with lots of problems.
So I am beginning the long process of learning puppet... and it seems that I am missing some vital things. My systems are RHEL-4, and i have installed the puppet/facter/puppetmasterd from dlutter@redhat.com''s archive. [root@canopus puppet]# rpm -qa | egrep ''puppet|facter'' | sort facter-1.3.6-1.el4 puppet-0.22.2-1.el4 puppet-server-0.22.2-1.el4 on the client I

Re: [Serusers] ASTERISK+SER+MWI
What's wrong with ARA (asterisk realtime architecture) from voip-info: Asterisk, SER and MWI http://mail.iptel.org/pipermail/serusers/2004-December/013727.html Actually I wrote a patch for this and it supports ast_data too. What you do is tell asterisk that all of your phones IP addresses are your SER machine. Then when a message gets left Asterisk sends the NOTIFY to username at

Security question for newbie
Hi, I am using Samba version 3.051 in an Active Directory setting with Windows 2000 server. Everything is working rather well with regards to file-sharing and authentication. However, the one thing that I noticed that I haven't been able to fix quickly with SWAT is the prevention of browsing the Linux file-system with users such as 'nobody' or 'bin'. For example... interactive session
Hi guys, My concern is to create an automated process from the beginning to the end. I want to copy all my code together in one piece and paste it to R console and sit back and relax :) except one moment in which the program should ask me to enter a number.. and only then (only after getting a valid number from me) it should continue to read and process the rest of the code. I tried lots of

Cannot map to other client shares
I have had a very odd problem for a while now, and am hoping this will ring a bell for someone who can point me in the right direction. I had a previous Samba DC (v3.5.6) in my home network, running on a command-line Slackware box. For a variety of reasons I decided to switch to Debian Jessie, which included an upgrade to Samba 4.2.10. I did NOT properly migrate my samba files to the new

Preliminary Suggestion For Atomic Transactions
In the past there's been a need to provide consistency between symbolic links or repository metadata during a sync. Currently, rsync renames files piecemeal. The attached patch (extremely ugly) attempts to resolve this by foregoing the rename step until the end. It adds a new option (if we didn't, ls might catch up). There are several issues to get over. The first big one in

Canging bridge names on live migration
Hello, i wonder, if there's a possibility to change a name of a shared interface in virtual machine config, while doing migration. The problem is: hypervisor1 (source) uses shared interface name "br0". hypervisor2 (target) uses shared interface name "br500". Live migration fails, because target hypervisor does not have "br0" interface. Thank you
