Dtrace starts very slowly on T5440
Hi all, We just got a shiny new T5440, and one of the first things I noticed (besides the insane number of hardware contexts), is that dtrace takes 30 seconds to a minute to fire up scripts with 5-6 probes, where our T5220 usually takes under a second. Shutdown is similar, though slightly faster. This is mostly annoying because it...

[osol-code] GLDv3 NIC driver Performance on sparc
...ueues and performs at almost the line rate(10G) on Sun intel boxes but the same driver performs very badly on sparc. The code is identical for sparc and intel except swapping involved since the hardware is little endian . Any idea how to debug this issue ?? > The machine i tried to bench mark is T5440 and i have tried setting ip_soft_rings_count = 16 on T5440 but result is same . > You might want to run lockstat(1M) to see if the driver routines are implicated as a problem. If the driver is not a problem, then you might want to try CPU binding with dladm set-linkprop -p cp...

There are two RFEs filed that cover this: http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6352014 : ''zfs list'' should have an option to only present direct

SDXC and the future of ZFS
Wouldn''t it be great if the opensolaris community creates a fs fzfs (for flash zfs) that could be the the filesystem for SDXC cards? Two main point for this are already there Sun is a member of SD Card Association and the code writting smart on a flash should be there as well with stuff of l2arc. I think that could give the opensolaris a more visiblie/ markting in the IT space and would
