tidyverse repeating error: "object 'rlang_mut_env_parent' not found"
...Using tibble::tibble() with <name> = <value> arguments
3) Using dplyr::select() on a tibble to select two columns
Any obvious clues as to what's happening here? The only non-base packages loaded are current tidyverse, forcats, magrittr, readxl and stringr.
Thanks,
John

tidyverse repeating error: "object 'rlang_mut_env_parent' not found"
The most likely explanation is you have a new version of dplyr/tibble
and an old version of rlang. Try re-installing rlang.

This sounds an awful lot like a bug. Read the Posting Guide to know what to do about bugs. And delaying making the reprex is _always_ a bad idea.

Override col.lines and col.symbol in panel.xyplot with type='b'
...at having (in the example) 8 points but only 4 lines causes undesired recycling somewhere.
\end{speculation}
Any assistance as to how to properly use the panel functions (or any other approach short of abandoning lattice graphics) to override the coloring would be greatly appreciated.

Easy "Recall" to get ls(..., all.names=TRUE)?
...ot waste my time doing that. I was hoping, however,
that there was some simple trick to allow this easily, one that I have
missed. Even an explanation of why this might be a fool's errand would
be quite helpful to my understanding of the intricacies of R evaluation.
Many thanks,
John

optim() argument scoping: passing parameter values into user's subfunction

Dispatch issue in package check?
...le foo(c(5,4,6,5,7,9,8,11,12,10), <other arguments>), it runs just fine.
Any insight as to what is happening here? Also I do not understand the warnings about @title and @description, as I certainly have those fields in the source file. But this is not as critical.
Thanks in advance,
John Szumiloski

log= argument to pairs()?

Is there an easy workaround for this that anyone can share with me, or would this require a significant patching of the internals of pairs() to process its "..." argument more tightly?
Thanks,
