Implementing SAMBA w/ Automounter
I checked the archives and automounter is only mentioned for home dirs.
Our organization would like to implement SAMBA but we have over 150
mount points. Is there a way we can use automounter maps with
SAMBA?
Having to edit smb.conf each time we add/remove a mount point would be quite
annoying and time consuming.
Cheers,

smbpasswd does not work for normal users in 1.9.18p4
..., and you should NOT set smbpasswd to suid root.
Thanks for any suggestions.
With best regards,

run scripts on samba server
Hi all,
I have a network with Win95 clients and a samba-server 1.9.18p3 on Linux 2.033. Linux is only used as serversystem, clientusers are nonfamiliar with Linux.
Sometimes it would be usefull, to start a program or script on the server from the client. This can be done via telnet, but I'd like to know if there is some sort of call implemented in samba to start a script on the server

magic-script fine, but how
Hi all,
I want to start a linux-script on a samba-networkserver from a win95-client.
I was kindly advised, to use the parameter magic script in smb.conf.
The listing below shows a share-section of my smb.conf. I tried the same
parameters in the global section as well.
When I open the file:
magic script = /usr/local/samba/netzwerk/magic-linux/script
and type:
/usr/local/bin/transmail

[LLVMdev] Proposal: AArch64/ARM64 merge from EuroLLVM
Hi Tim,
I just read this thread and I see that you mentioned the buildbot and my name.

What exactly I can do to help you with the merge process?

An (extended) abstract is enough for the evaluation.

[LLVMdev] Help needed about setting up an Aarch64 LLVM buildbot
Dear LLVM developers,
My name is Gabor Ballabas. I work for the University of Szeged (Hungary) and
we have an ongoing project with the goal of setting up and maintaining
an LLVM buildbot
for the ARMv8 - alias Aarch64 - architecture. Due to lack of existing
hardware for this
architecture we use ARM's Foundation Model to run the Aarch64 binaries.

Problem with PXE reboot option
...pxelinux code tries to jump
to the reset vector of the CPU. Just before this jump, it writes some
magic code into a memory location (0x472).
I've found not really a specification for this location. The best
information I found can be retrieved from a linux source code file
(http://www.cab.u-szeged.hu/linux/kernel/linux/arch/i386/kernel/process.c.html
<http://www.cab.u-szeged.hu/linux/kernel/linux/arch/i386/kernel/process.c.html>).
In this file, the comments from the programmer give not very high
confidence that this approach is necessarily working on every hardware.
For sure, you...

Unable to connect to a Samba server using a Microsoft Dos Client
...ontroller
I don't have any problems connecting to the samba server with a Win2k Workstation. The acl support with xfs works well.
I think the problems comes from encrypted passwords, but I'm not sure.
I've tried to change 'security = server' as it is said in http://www.math.u-szeged.hu/hardsoft/hsdetail.htm#DOSCLI_INSTALL but it does not change anything.
I can give more information if needed.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I look at these tests, try to make them work for COFF.

[LLVMdev] object size comparisons
I am looking for some scripts that let me compare , for size, gcc and
llvm for mips16/32 and get some kind of
function by function comparison and maybe a list of which ones are
bigger in llvm and other statistics.
Not rocket science but maybe someone already has exactly what I'm
looking for.

[LLVMdev] AArch64 Full bot
Hi Gabor,
It seems the linker is playing tricks on the full bot:
http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-native-aarch64-full
Sometimes it works by cleaning the stage2 dir completely, but there
may be some extra bits that we're not considering. However, I can't
see why any of the commits on the first failure did anything to the
relocations on AArhc64...
cheers,

[LLVMdev] Some MCJIT XPASS and one FAIL on Linux ARMv7
Hi,
I've got the same 4 unexpected passing tests on the AArch64 buildbot.
I checked the buildbot logs and before these tests started to fail all MCJIT
tests were unsupported.
I think that maybe this commit -
http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?revision=193459&view=revision
<http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?revision=193459&view=revision>
caused the issue but I'm still

[LLVMdev] AArch64 bot unstable
Hi Gabor,
I noticed that one particular test fails intermittently on the AArch64 bot:
http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/clang-native-aarch64-full
FAIL: Profile:: instrprof-set-filename-then-reset-default.c
Some times on stage1, others on stage2, others no fail at all.
All the commits during these builds are not related to profiling or
AArch64, so I believe this has something to do with the
