rsync via ssh
Hi, We have 2 problems with rsync over ssh that we haven't been able to replicate all the time. Basically, we have a developement server running Solaris 2.5.1 and another running Solaris 2.6, the development tree is shared via nfs. When minor changes are made they are distibuted to various mirror sites via a perl script which does some checks (path, etc) and runs 'rsync -e ssh ....'

Samba & W2k login
Hi! I'm having little trouble with my W2K installation: every time I log in, it says that incorrect password when trying to automatically reconnect to Samba shares. After typing in password, everything works. Is it Windozw or Samba password settings? No clue said Sherlock... Yours, Ari Ryyn?nen

newbie: rsync and ssh and password
Hi, I've got the following command that works fine; it prompt for a password then runs okay: "rsync -az -e ssh myserver.ac.uk:/var/lib/mysql /www/rsynctagsassets/databases" I wanted to run it as a script so put it into a file called rsync.sh and chmod +x 'd it. Human readable .ssh/known_hosts?
Hi list members, just tried to get some old records out of my known_hosts, which is 'HashKnownHosts yes'. Is there a way to unhash host names and/or IPs? Google tells about, how to add hosts, but not the opposite, may be I miss some thing. Is this does not work at all, is there a best practice for cleaning old hosts and keys out? streaming server on a virtual machine.
I need to installa a streaming server for live videos and for video on demand. My choice is red5. Do you think I can use a xen virtual machine to run a streaming service? Or it is better not to virtualize? Sorry for my bad english. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

snv_110 -> snv_121 produces checksum errors on Raid-Z pool
I have a 5-500GB disk Raid-Z pool that has been producing checksum errors right after upgrading SXCE to build 121. They seem to be randomly occurring on all 5 disks, so it doesn''t look like a disk failure situation. Repeatingly running a scrub on the pools randomly repairs between 20 and a few hundred checksum errors. Since I hadn''t physically touched the machine, it seems a
