sieve for systemusers
Hello! I enabled LDA for systemusers bei adding mailbox_command = /usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda -f "$SENDER" -a "$RECIPIENT" to main.cf of postfix. I have done this because I want to use sieve for systemusers too, not only for virtual users. But the sievescripts do not work for those systemusers. What else needs...

Group mapping problem
Dear Community, I would like to make a group mapping between Unix and Windows groups. I have created a group called "Unix System Users" on Windows with Active Diectory User and Computers and I have also created a unix group called systemusers in Raspbian Buster. When a try to execute net groupmap add ntgroup="Unix System Users" unixgroup=systemusers type=d command, the following error message comes: No rid or sid specified, choosing a RID Could not get new RID Got RID 0 adding entry for group Unix System Users failed! If I...

Use of variables in defines...
Hi, I''m banging my head against the usage of variables i defines. Fx. I have this defined to easily create new systemusers: define systemuser($home = $home, $shell = "/bin/bash") { group { $name: ensure => present } user { $name: ensure => present, gid => $name, home => $home, shell => $shell, require => Group[$...

Dovecot Virtual Users with Sendmail
I'm trying to get Dovecot working with Virtual Users and Sendmail on OpenIndiana 151a7. OpenIndiana is the Open Source continuation of OpenSolaris after Oracle tried to kill it off a couple of years ago shortly after acquiring Sun Microsystems. I'm not sure if this is so much a Dovecot problem, as much of a Sendmail problem. I thought this would probably be a better list to start with,

sievescript is not working
...e: no scripts to execute: reverting to default delivery. From dovecot-lda.log: Jun 22 12:36:51 lda(a.meyer): Info: msgid=<20180622123414.08aac41d at workstation>: saved mail to INBOX But the mail is not there. I'll disable mailbox_command now until I understand how to enable sieve for systemusers. For virtual users sieve works without problem. The question is how do I enable sieve for systemusers. I guess it must be with the help of lda. Kind regards Andreas

sievescript is not working
Hello! I have a problem with a sieve-script which works for one domain but not for another one. Both domains are hostet on the same server running dovecot and postfix. This is the script that works: require ["vacation"]; # rule:[Out of office] if true { vacation :days 1 :addresses "a.meyer at nimmini.de" :subject "absent" "Ich bin nicht da."; }

I cannot set the absolute path in mail_location, because I have systemusers and virtual users. Don't know how to set mail_location in the query-string for MySQL, if the expandation of %u is not enough. %u would expand to the full address a.meyer at nimmini.de whereas the location looks like /var/spool/vhosts/nimmini.de/a.meyer Don't know what to do. We recently migrated from UW-Imap to dovecot. Our setup: dovecot 1.2.6 postfix 2.3.3 (from rhel) systemusers without shell access to the mailstore location = maildir:/maildir/%1n/%u:LAYOUT=fs All mails on local disks. Performance is great compared with mbox. But I still have some unresolved problems, mainly concerning deliver. Deliver sometimes wants to write a .temp.<hostname>.some-number file...

imap-login: Fatal: pipe() failed: Too many open files
Hi I keep on getting errors and can't connect/login to Dovecot. I did my research but unfortunately without success. It is for sure not ulimit because ulimit is set to unlimited per default already. Still , it complains about "Too many open files" but this is a test system and the service dovecot and postfix have just been started. No one except me is testing on this system.
