assigning 'heat.colors' according to ages in 'symbols()'
Hi,
I have spatial data for plants that I would like to plot according to its radius
using sysmbols(). Also I would like to color the circles according to an
individual's age using heat.colors(17) [ages within the whole data set range
from 0:16].
I have not found an easy way to assign ages (=a) a specific heat.color.
Any suggestions?

samba 3.2.6 openSUSE binaries

openSUSE binaries:

plot() bugs (PR#317)

Bugs:
1. The y-axis numbering labels are shifted down and are not centred on the
hash-marks.
BTW, weren't the labels in normal (nonrotated) orientation before this version?
I didn't have to use las before
2. This is an old bug: only the first plotted sysmbol has the correct size.
(Squares
in this example). The others are not scaled up as cex should make them.
These comments are based on inspection of the .ps form of the plot.

Call for examples
He folks-
First off thanks to everyone for helping to make this plugin work
better for all of us. Its nice to have a bunch of people testing and
adding features. I would like to ask for people to post some examples
workers. I would really like to get a few more workers to distribute
