Can't boot with a new install
Hi everyone,
I just finished installing FreeBSD 6 RELEASE on my Toshiba Tecra A4
laptop and the installation was fine, however, when I rebooted the
machine, I don't get the boot loader screen as if the machine can not
see my drive! I tried the reinstalling and ensured that I set the slice
to be bootable but that didn't change anything.
Not sure if this is a common issue with FreeBSD 6 on

Anyone ever gotten Solaris to install from a CentOS PXE server?
I'm poking through Solaris documentation trying to figure out how to make
it installable via our PXE server and, as with many things Solaris, I'm
hitting walls of completely foreign procedures and setups.
Has anyone managed to do this before? I'm trying to set Solaris 11.3 up.

USB boot problems on Gigabyte GA-M55Plus-S3G

Sorry for not getting this right on the first reading.
I currently understand that a set active/bootable flag prevents the
USB stick from showing up in BIOS, and that without that flag it
begins to boot but fails with files not found.

because it's providing other services. This is proving to be a little
tricky. I've managed the following:
* Use the dubious registry hack to convert the PDC to a Workstation
- this leaves me with a duplicate SID problem.
* Use NewSID from www.sysinternals.com to change the PDC's sysid
* Leave the domain (change to some random workgroup, reboot)
Obviously the final step here is to rejoin the domain, but I'm falling
foul of the fact that I've changed the SID (or something). When I try
to rejoin the domain (automatically created accounts using the above
config) I get the f...

libvirtd not accepting connections
Hi,
Ever since I recently upgraded to Fedora 25, I can't get kvm working.
It's worked on this system since initial fedora 20 install. All
upgrades were done via yum, then once available, dnf.
I do have libvirt-sock in LISTENING state: STREAM LISTENING
/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock
I noticed I also have multiple connections in CONNECTING state:

After an update stable doesn't boot
Hi
I just did a system update and after I've rebooted it doesn't boot up any
more.
All I'm getting is a blank screen with a curser blinking at the top left
corner of the screen.
This system was running 7.0-STABLE
Any ideas as to how I can get it back up?
Regards
Reinhold
