sorta-newbie: installing 2.2.6 rpm with --nodeps on RedHat 7.2 ?
....rpm and ncurses-5.2-12.i386.rpm is already installed and "/usr/lib/libreadline.so.4" exists on the system. Can someone tell me if it safe to install 2.2.6 with '--nodeps' or, if that is not the best way out, point me to the correct solution?

Is it simply
"mount -o smbfs username=win2k_username,password=password
