PWGL in wine, problems
Hello,
I'm new on this list. First of all, thank you to all the developers of this
great project!
At the moment there is only an application that keeps me on both macos and
windows, its name is PWGL a free environment for computer assisted
composition in openGL. (http://www2.siba.fi/PWGL/)
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and wine 0.9.59.
I have to say that I also installed vcrun2005 and

'SAMDOM.EXAMPLE.COM' is an example Realm name, you can use whatever you
like. However, whatever you use for the DNS domain, MUST be used for the
Realm name, but the Realm name must be in uppercase.

I know the latter (had to delegate the zone in bind after all), but
"wins support=yes" must have been created either by Debian or by
"domain provision".

Synthetic Control Method
Good Morning
I want to perform a synthetic control method with R. For this purpose, I
created the following code:
# Re-load packages
library(Synth)
library(readxl)
# Pfadeinstellung Excel-Blatt
excel_file_path <-
("C:\\Users\\xxxxx\\Desktop\\DATA_INVESTMENTVOLUMEN_FOR_R_WITHOUT_NA.xlsx")

Entering data into a multi-way array?
Hello: I am a novice R user, but I have been working my way through the
manuals / tutorials, ... I have R / Deducer up and running, and know the
basics.
I want to analyze a microarray (gene expression) dataset.
I need to input the data into R as a multidimensional (multi-way) array,
something on the order of
15,000 x 3 x 8 x 2 [genes x replicates x time points x treatments]
I've

Sorry but you have a MAJOR problem, you have this on the DC (note: it
isn't a PDC, it is a DC):
Hostname: controller
DNS Domain: synth.intern
FQDN: controller.synth.intern

Samba is running as an AD DC
Then on the Unix domain member, you have this:

No MIDI devices in wine
I'd want to run the windows editor for my guitar preamp (VOX Tonelab SE)
which is connected to the MIDI in and out sockets of my soundcard. The
program installs and starts without any problems under wine but it can't
find any MIDI ports.
MIDI works fine otherwise in Linux - I can read from and write to the
sockets with arecordmidi and aplaymidi, but there are no MIDI devices
visible

Guitar Pro in Wine?
My uncle recently bought a new computer and he wants me to help him install Guitar Pro.
The thing is, he doesn't have Windows, and I'm thinking of installing Ubuntu with wine on the comp.
Quiz time!
Can you use wine, with GP, and if you can, deos it perform poorly in any ways?

Synchronous dialplan execution for feedback while processing speech recognition and voice synth, for example.
..., both called via seperate python AGIs.
I've googled and I'm probably missing something pretty newbie 101 here, but
is there any way, or fiddle, that I can play some audio to let the caller
know that their weather forecast is being fetched, which the two agis are
first recognising and then synthesizing the speech? I thought "background"
might do it, but it doesn't seem to work like that.
Both agis take about 2.5 seconds, so that's 5 seconds of silence.
Yes, I'm aware of software applications that will quickly recognise and
synthesize speech on the local machine, but...

[LLVMdev] LLVM bitcode for cross-platform plugins
Hi all!
Is it possible to use LLVM bitcode format for storing cross-platform plugins
(for example, sound synths)? Can newest LLVM understand bitcode from
previous versions?
Thanks!
Alex.

Re: No MIDI devices in wine
Try opening the sound tab in winecfg. It'll create a ALSA-based default configuration for you, which might automatically find the right MIDI channels.
If it doesn't, try using a soft synth solution like timidity or qsynth. I think these automatically pick up on MIDI-supporting sound cards, too, plus extra MIDI channels that will definitely be detected by Wine will be exposed.
