chan_capi compilation problems
Hello,
I can't compile chan_capi-0.3.5 (also tried with 0.3.4b).
I tried compiling it on two systems with very similar (unsuccessful)
results:
1) SuSE 9.1 on 2.6.5 kernel,
2) Mandrake 10.1 with kernels 2.6.8.1 and 2.4.27, using gcc 3.3.4 and
gcc 3.4.1
I'm getting the following errors (similar on SuSE and Mandrake):
# make
gcc -pipe -Wall -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -g

Thanks for the reply,
I got the dependancies but with no lucl :(
Its just error after error.
Does anyone on the list have experience with compiling on windows?
Does anyone have a compiled version icecast-2.2-kh12d?
Should I just give up and wait for the next official release? :(

[Bridge] Building 1.1 ?
Good day Folks!
Working on a bridging firewall/gateway and attempting to solve the age-old
mystery of whether I can get NAT to work across a gateway that has 2 NICs and
requires a bridge...
Upside is, I have the gateway working, bridging works (as does OpenVPN using
that bridge). But NAT does not in Fedora Core 4...

Samba 3.0.25 plugin changes
Greetings,
Before I start digging into making our local passdb plugin work with Samba
3.0.25, is there any heads up I need to know about?
I tried to compile the example plugin in samba-3.0.25/examples/pdb, but it
fails. See below for a sample of the error messages.
If I try to compile the same example that comes with Samba v3.0.24, the
example code compiles without any issues?

syntax problem with 2.6.3-rc3
The inet stuff is including, asm/byteorder.h
It has some inlines like this:
static __inline__ __attribute_const__ __u64 ___arch__swab64(__u64 val)
I think I'm choking on the __attribue_const__
Do we need an include of linux/compiler.h somewhere?

R-release.diff + R-1.9 -> success on Fedora Core 2, R RPM available; ess-emacs-5.1.20 also available
Dear Everybody:
I have Fedora Core 2 and R-1.9.0 does not build "out of the box". After
applying the daily patch file R-release.diff, I find it does build and
I've made RPMS and SRPM.
In case you want to save yourself a recompile, you can find Fedora Core
RPMs in here:

These are based on the standard R distribution SPEC file, only

icecast2, libshout2, Shout.pm FreeBSD
Hi all,
Has anyone successfully managed to get icecast2 libshout2
and Shout.pm built under freebsd?
o far I've been able to build all of them except for
Shout.pm. I would like to migrate from icecast1 however
I can't do so until I can get everything built.
Here is the error I'm having trying to build Shout.pm
from the FreeBSD ports tree.

[R] R compile on AIX 5.2
Professor Ripley,
Following your advice, I am now using an updated version of gcc
(4.0.2 to be exact) as well as a true fortran compiler (XL Fortran
Compiler v10.1.0.0 from IBM). I am still experiencing difficulty in
running "make" after a successful "configure". Any additional insight
you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Output of make is as

[klibc] parser: Add syntax stack for recursive parsing
Without a stack of syntaxes we cannot correctly these two cases
together:
"${a#'$$'}"
"${a#"${b-'$$'}"}"
A recursive parser also helps in some other corner cases such
as nested arithmetic expansion with paratheses.
This patch adds a syntax stack allocated from t...
