applying a function several times
I am sorry. I am not sure if the mail a send before to this list was rejected because of header (subject). I've changed it. The first maybe was not appropriate. I did a function (sec_conop) whose arguments are syndic, well and wellconop. sec_conop(syndic='01syndic.txt',well='well-1.csv',wellconop='well-1.dat');closeAllConnections() This function takes “well” and

tree() producing NA's
Hi Hoping someone can help me (a newbie). I am trying to construct a tree using tree() in package tree. One of the fields is a factor field (owner), with many levels. In the resulting tree, I see many NA's (see below), yet in the actual data there are none. > rr200.tr <- tree(backprof ~ ., rr200) > rr200.tr 1) root 200 1826.00 -0.2332 ... [snip] ... 5) owner:

I've combed through the archives and can't really find an answer to this. Essentially, I'm trying to set-up streaming for a college radio station. There are several programs which are syndicated that we apparently can't rebroadcast. The easiest thing that came to mind was setting up a cron job to shut down liveice at the appropriate time, swap index pages on the web server

Page caching feeds and cache file extensions
I have a feeds controller which generates RSS and Atom pages. I put ''caches_page :show'' in it. The problem is that the pages are saved with an html extension. As a result, browsers display the cached feeds as HTML rather than XML, and feed validators complain. There''s an option to set ''Base.page_cache_extension'' globally, but I don''t want

hi I wonder if you would like to join my localplayer.com network? I operate on the same philosophy. All my artists are unsigned and I have their consent to stream their music. on my station. I envision a drop down menu that helps me navigate to the city of my choice. Raymond wrote: > Hello: > > I'm starting a radio station on the LPBN. The music will be from all > local Los

Atom is a syndication format?like RSS?that carry short descriptions of content and links to the full content. I only referred to their work because I though it would be relevant. The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative are great for describing written resources such as books, web pages, and indeed it would have worked i...
