Windows 7/Vista problem with offline files synchronization - samba 3.5.4 domain controller
While using SAMBA 3.5.4 as a primary domain controller for Windows
Workstations I have problems with offline files synchronization.
While using Windows XP everything works great, there is still no
problems with machines with XP.
Problems started with Vista Business, there is a lot of synchronization
conflicts. Windows 7 also have problems with proper offline files
synchronization. Most synchro errors states "T...

Office365 Password Sync
Hello!
I run Samba 4.1.7 as a DC on Ubuntu 14.04 and try to use MS Azure Password
Sync to Office 365.
When I start the sync in samba log appears a kerberos WRONG PARAM Error and
Azure is logging the following:
Did anybody got the Office365 Passwork Sync to work already?

problem with the transition from winter to summer time usrmgr.exe and logon hours
Hello
I have usrmgr.exe (form NT server ver.5.1) to manage user accounts of
samba.(one year ago) I set logon hours from 8:00 to 16:00. My server
(Fedora 7) changed the time correctly from winter to sumer (+ 1 hour).
I chenged hardware time clock -w (write system clock to hardware clock
synchro).
But users cant' login at 8:00 morning !!!! I must back logon hours one
hour back in usrmgr from 8:00 to 7:00 and then users can login without
the problem.
My question is why samba (tdbsam) cant change time automatically ?
Which time (UTC/GMT) logon hours uses? I think that logon hours stil...

IceCast KH - question
...ll either over or under buffer and cause unpredictable results. The amount
of time it will take for this problem to actually occur will be determined
by the difference in clock frequency between the source and client clocks.
So, "your mileage will vary."
There is currently no way to send synchro clock in a SHOUTcast or Icecast2
stream that I am aware of. Even if there was, the client player would need
to support this specifically.
The easiest way to deal with this with the current architecture, is write a
player that can approximate clock recovery. This will only be an
approximation, but b...

VGA passthrough and AMD drivers
Hi all,
I have made some tests to find a good driver for FirePro V8800 on windows 7 64bit HVM.
I have been focused on ''advanced features'': quad buffer and active stereoscopy, synchronization ...
The results, for all FirePro drivers (of this year); I can''t get the quad buffer/active stereoscopy feature.
But they work on a native installation.
The only driver that allows this feature is a Radeon HD driver (Catalyst 12.10 WHQL).
But this driver becomes unstable when an a...

voip gateway connect to a pbx
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a voip gateway between a classic
pbx and ip network with asterisk.
phones -- pbx -- * -- ip network
I would like a prefix ( 0 ) for the classic calls and
another prefix ( 1 ) for voip calls.
The problem is that pbx can talk with asterisk only
with S0 synchro (like a terminal) and succeeded not to
make call with prefix in this mode.
I also try to consider asterisk like a provider, but
pbx and asteisk don't snchronyse themselves. (need pbx
protocol like qsig I think).
I use a old isdn card (Dynalink IS64PH Adapter) with
isdn4linux and modem asterisk...

TE405P and quality problem
...r, crackling sound, a strong crackling echo.
I am observing the same effect when performing a Sip-to-Zap call. That's
a one way problem and I notice it happens only when * initiates a zaptel
channel (for exemple, zap to sip calls are good in both ways)
My card is alone on its IRQ, is taking synchro from my Cirpack on the
first port.
If you have any idea, or tweak settings which could help, you're welcome.

Problem with Sound sync
...why i choose the windows-version of Guitar Pro, the Linux-Version cannot handle 64bit yet...argh)
i use the Real Sound Engine (RSE) in GuitarPro because the Midi Output dont works. (It works well with Timidity)
Maybe someone can help me getting MIDI running in Wine, so maybe the problem with the synchro of sound and graphic can be prevent with MIDI?
Or are there some general tricks to fix sync problems?
What can be the reason?
GuitarPro show in the settings no Soundcard, but it works (kind of)
Thanks for every hint!

Clicks in audio with TE100P PRI
Hi, I have a problem I will describe. I have PAP2 connected to the internet
to an asterisk box with 2 TDM cards, one TE100P E1 with PRI and one TDM400P
with 2 FXS an one FXO.
When I call to the TDM400 cards from the PAP2 eveything is OK, sound quality
is perfect.
When I call to terminate the call in PSTN through E100P I hear clicks which
aparently are RTP packet looses. This clicks are only heard

Clocks drift again
Hi All,
Sorry again to bother you with this but there is really something I
don't fully understand about client/server clock syncs.
If I connect to the stream with a fresh browser, I can measure between
5-10 secs latency.
I keep listening to it for while, and the delay between server and
client grows as listening is going on.
As pointed out Philipp yesterday to me, it's approximately a 5%
