building virt-builder still seems to fail.
Hi, it seems that even after commit df5bd5741b37da9cf97d7a76ac2805557aa630db Author: Richard W.M. Jones <rjones@redhat.com> Date: Tue Apr 29 15:43:20 2014 +0100 builder: Fix parallel builds of index-parse.o. there is a small chance that a build may go wrong with the described symtom, missing "do_parse" symbol. It just happened to me on Debian's ppc64el buildd[1] and

minor(? ) Grandstream phone issue
I hate to bother the list with this potentially minor issue but.... I just wonder if it's a symtom of some other problem. Every time I make a call the BT-102, with the latest firmware, she just keeps the LED display lit and the timer counting after hangup. I check the CLI and the hangup is being executed, I certainly was concerned it might be keeping the line open but that doesn't seem

It turns out this all happened because of a brand new network switch. We put
the old one back in out of desperation and, BAM, all the problems went away. There were no other symtoms that pointed at that switch so we didn't suspect it all. Printing: Access denied, unable to connect
I have been having a printing problem recently on a setup that has worked for quite some time. Configs below. The symtoms are slightly different on a W2K and a WinME workstation, but the result is the same; no printed output. However, when I print from the local Unix server or from any other Unix server in the network the output is as expected. The W2K machine reports 'Access denied, unable to connect' when...

Can't believe no one else is seeing this .... the symtoms are dovecot starts up fine when a client connects, they authorize just fine and download email .... about a minute later the auth process crashes and the entire process starts over .... so how do you trouble shoot this ... it sounds like a coding issue some place .... anyone ?

OT, but just a quick question.
I know this is off topic, so please accept my apologies. This is just out of curiosity, and a number of people I've talked to in the area I live in have said the same thing. About 2 weeks ago, my one remaining xp machine downloaded and installed an update from Microsoft. Ever since then, the machine has run slower than a dead person. I was just wondering if anyone here on the list who still

Problems with nmbd (samba 3.0.10)
...enable-cups, --withsmbmount, --with-acl-support) on a standard SUSE Linux 9.2-Distribution with Kernel 2.6.8-24.10-smp. The Samba-Server works as PDC since a month now and does it fine. But one big problem still exists: After about 10-20 hours after the start of smb+nmb the nmbd stops working. The symtoms are: No new users can login into the NT-Domain but users who already logged in can still access the shares Swat shows that the nmbd is not running (smbd and winbindd are still running) But the process-list from linux still shows that several "/usr/local/samba/sbin/nmbd -D" are still runn...

Cisco 7960 Locking Up
...#39;s what we've done... We replaced the phone, ran two new cat5 cables to a different switch, put in a power brick and disabled power over ethernet. Over the last few months, the number of incidents of her getting shocked have reduced to almost never, but the phone is displaying the same symtoms as when she was getting the shock. The phone seems to lock up. We can not establish any type of pattern as to what causes it, but here's what we do know. She can be on a call and not touch any buttons. The soft keys will blank out and she loses audio as does the person on the other end....

[Bug 2766] rsync endless loop
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2766 ------- Additional Comments From paul@debian.org 2005-06-02 08:47 ------- It seems to be looping in userspace (no system calls, hence strace doesn't show anything). Could you try ltrace instead of strace, that should show what library functions (if any) are being called which may help. -- Configure bugmail:

[Bug 3116] New: large tar files: 1 gig size: retransmitted: rsync_rsh
...: rsync-qa@samba.org Once a week, I'm performing an offsite backup. These files are each 1 gig in size, average speedup is 1.18. Rsync does the initial run, and then send some of the tar files again. I initially thought the archives were too large, so I reduced them to 512M, but had the same symtoms. My next step, is to install an rsync daemon on the remote end. When I do a second batch of mostly static content, I don't have any issues. Below are my options: #!/bin/sh TERM="VT100" RSYNC_RSH="ssh -c blowfish -2 -i /usr/username/.ssh/id_dsa" export RSYNC_RSH echo '...

LDAP PDC problems
Hello there, I'm running 2.2.5 compiled with ACL and LDAP auth. The PDC used to work flawlessly using smbpasswd but I want to dual boot the workstations to Linux so I need a centralized LDAP authentication repository. Once I reinstalled the LDAPized samba I started populating the directory with the "well-known" identities using the smbldap tools (bear in mind I'm more of a
