odd error between vfat and samba
...onally duel boot and I wanted to be able to share my mp3s directory to my roomate via samba. I figured I'd just make a partition vfat and have both linux and windows export that directory... but under linux there seems to be an odd issue w/ creating a file larger than 800K on the samba share. Symptomps: I've tried multiple ways of creating a file on the samba share. First from the windows machine just copying a file larger than 400K will fail, and throw up a dialog box that says something to the effect "No Permission to create file check w/ sysadmin". But if I right click in the dir...

[Bug 2726] New: Uploading of large files (1GB+) fails when using SFTP in chrooted configuration
...a.mindrot.org/attachment.cgi?id=2986&action=edit SSHD config used in a test chrooted environment I am unable unable to upload large files (1GB or greater) via SFTP when using SFTP in a chrooted configuration (using ChrootDirectory and "ForceCommand internal-sftp" in SSHD config). The symptomps are that WinSCP (or other SFTP clients) interrupts the connection with SFTP server once number of bytes transferred exceeds 1GB. Further diagnosis showed that this behaviour is related to the value of Rekeylimit - when reaching the Rekeylimit (as set explicitly in config file) the connection is int...

Re: dragging windows leaves traces -- running older GeForce drivers on newer cards
...the latest NV45 (GeForce 6800, PCIe native). So I didn't have an issue even using the stock Xorg driver. So, are you sure you are using the nVidia driver _downloaded_ from nVidia? Or are you simply using the nVidia (nv) driver CentOS 3 is detecting when installed? I want to say, given your symptomps, you're using the later, which (even with update 4) is still a NV2x/NV30 driver, and not good for later NV31/34 (GeForce FX5200/5500) let alone NV4x (GeForce 6000 series) cards. And if you are using the nVidia driver, please note that you want to be running with the _latest_ 1.0-6xxx series dr...
