Interpretation of 'swtich'
In browsing the source I see the following construct: res <- switch(type, working = , response = r, deviance = , pearson = if (is.null(object$weights)) r else r * sqrt(object$weights), partial = r) I understand that 'switch' will execute the code that is matched by its corresponding string value (in this case 'type'). What I don't

Swtiching workspace while gaming with wine
I can switch workspaces easyly, when my game is launched in windowed mode, but I get really low fps. so I run it in fullscreen. The game is Lord of The RIngs Online (Lotro). I can switch to other workspace, but when returning to workspace where I started my game, game window takes only 60% of screen (see the screenshot). Any way of fixing this? Enabling virtual desktop in wine doesn't make it

GoDaddy royally screws over aussievoip.com.au and soft-swtich.org
Well, I wake up this morning, and aussievoip isn't up. I ring godaddy, who _were_ hosting it, and they say that the machine's been compromised, and you can't have your data. Nyah Nyah. I spent 1 hour and 38 minutes on the phone to them, trying to convince them to let me somehow get access to it, but to no avail. I've reported it to the Australian Federal Police High-Tech Crime

Switching video mode
Hi, This is some short of technical question or might be my stupidity, please tell me so ;o) Ok, let's say I have an application which I would like to run in 640x480x32/fullscreen. I have my basic X desktop settings at 1024x768 and I would no like to change the resolution. Is there any way to let wine start an X server on another shell with a different resolution, automatically switch

Best dahdi switchtype to emulate (network side)?
We are connecting a new device to our voice system, and the vendor has a whole list of "supported" network devices and associated parameters for the Telco to adjust... Yes, it's the telcos issue... Anyway, out of all of the swtich types that dahdi can emulate, what is the most complete/tunable solution? The premise for those interested is a PRI connection to a Dialogic card,

Wine not properly loading config file
Hi, I'm starting with wine. I've been playing with an older version from 2003 and just ugraded to the Wine version : 20050524. I'm using RedHat 9 at the moment. I'm trying to change the resolution and drives in Wine, but for some strange reason, every changes I make in the ~/.wine/config file are not reflecting in wine. I naturally verified if I had any wineserver running in the

Winbind and trusted domains
Does Samba has a problem working with trusted domains ? I have two trusted domains and a Samba server 2.2.2 configured with winbind running on RH 7.0, after working for a week its now only showing me the remote domain groups and not the local domain groups. The remote domain is called Sxxx and the local one Txxxx, does samba consider an alphabetical order or somethig like that when working with

Compile problems on OSX
Hi all, I've got two problems compiling the current CVS FLAC sources on OSX. Firstly, the configure script can't find the OGG libraries which were installed from MacPorts. I have tried: ./configure --with-ogg-includes=/opt/local/include \ --with-ogg-lib=/opt/local/lib but they are still not found. I notice that in configure.in, you use a macro called XIPH_PATH_OGG. Is

Recommend Fax Hardware for T1 PRI
I have posted this to the Asterisk Forums, but got no response yet. Sorry if you are reading this for the second time. What fax hardware do I need for a T1? Ideally, I will switch my T1 to a digital PRI (not CAS I'm told, which is not as good) coming into the building. My CLEC said I can do this switch no problem. I have an analog T1 coming in now. >From the Asterisk box, I will connect

unless connected? + multiple databases
Hello all. I am still having fun with multiple databases. In this case it is the unless connected? statement. ActiveRecord::Base establishes a connection that is inherited by the majority of my models. However one Model (Componentlog) that uses a separate DB is coded as: unless Componentlog.connected? establish_connection( :adapter => "oci", :database =>

PXELinux sporadic hangs searching for config file
Very sporadicially (1 out of every 40-5000 boots), our blade system will hang indefinately while PXE Linux is attempting to locate it's configuration file. This is causing our automated testing to hang and generate failures. I have put more details below. My concerns are threefold: 1) System hangs 2) PXE Linux bootstrap never seems to retry the transaction 3) PXE Linux bootstrap never seems

Compile flags for sampleenc sampledec.
I suspect I am missing something basic but I do not seem to be able to get the sampleenc and sampledec programs to work together. I think I do not have a compile swtich of flag set correctly. Backgound information: 1) 1.0.4 tar package 'make' worked and installed on a mandrake 10.0 linux 2) speexenc and speexdec appear to work fine. 3) testenc and testenc_wb work fine, though I
