Is ZFS efficient for large collections of small files?
Is ZFS efficient at handling huge populations of tiny-to-small files - for example, 20 million TIFF images in a collection, each between 5 and 500k in size? I am asking because I could have sworn that I read somewhere that it isn''t, but I can''t find the reference. Thanks, Brian -- - Brian Gupta http://opensolaris.org/os/project/nycosug/

OpenLDAP to FDS 7.1
I am intending to test FDS 7.1 for our LDAP database. We have a custom schema currently set up with OpenLDAP. I am looking for a script ton convert those schema files to the FDS LDIF format. I could have sworn someone posted a link in the previous LDAP thread, but I can't find it now. If anyone has that script, I would appreciate a pointer. Thanks, Bowie

Buddy list order
I could have sworn I saw a post about this recently but I can't find it so apologies if this is a dupe, but is there anyway to control the order in the Polycom Buddies list? xtable() with booktabs option problem
I could have sworn that yesterday xtable(file, booktabs = TRUE) was giving me toprule , midrule and bottomrule outout. Today : library(xtable) aa <- table( sample(letters[1:9], 100, replace = TRUE)) xtable(aa, booktabs = TRUE) gives me \begin{table}[ht] \centering \begin{tabular}{rr} \hline &amp...

Disable SILK/CELT only?
Is there a configuration or compile flag that lets me disable the SILK portion of the codec and use CELT only? I could have sworn that there is something, but I can't seem to find it in the mailing list archives. The application here is that I am attempting to update from the old CELT codec to OPUS. Unfortunately, the CELT codec was running *very* close to the CPU (MIPS32--80MHz) limit (over, actually, occasionally a pa...

Facebooker updates
I just went through and cleaned out most of the bugs and patches. I also added a facebooker.js file that implements enough of prototype to do $() and link_to_remote with :update and remote_form_for with :update Let me know if you run into any issues with it. Oops, forgot to release 0.23.3
Hi all, It was brought to my attention that the front page lists 0.23.3 as the stable release, but that no such release exists. I could have sworn I released this a few weeks ago, but now I can find no evidence of that. I''m going to publish it from the latest commit in the 0.23.x branch as soon as possible (probably in about 12 hours), so if anyone wants to get that last-minute testing in, now''s the time. -- I never...

Dial+Macro and Queue
...the queue dials a sip channel using a macro. The macro plays a set of options to the callee and if the callee presses 3 it sets MACRO_RESULT=CONTINUE and the macro ends. For some reason the caller goes back into the queue rather than continueing on in the dial plan. Why is this, i could have sworn in 1.2 if i set MACRO_RESULT=CONTINUE that the caller exited the queue() and continued on in the dialplan... Factor vs character in a data.frame vs vector
Thanks Marc. It never occurred to me that I would need a ""stringsAsFactors" expression in a data.frame.? I could have sworn I never did before when mocking up some data but clearly I was wrong or there has been a change in R v. 3.4.1 which seems unlikely. Features not working
Hi all. I could have sworn this working at one time... But it doesn't look like any of the functions provided by features.so is working for me.
