switchhook flash / link
Hi, Does anyone know how to tell Asterisk to transmit a switchhook flash? I have Asterisk attached to the ATA adapter of my legacy PBX, and some features of the ATA/PBX are supposed to be accessed using an analog telephone's switchhook flash or "link" button. I want to emulate this. - Mike

call wating and call transfer
...9;t clear to me what sort of channel they were talking about, but that would be fine, our dialplan will let the caller get back to the operator if the transferred extension is busy or doesn't answer. I haven't used this feature before (I told the users to transfer calls by flashing the switchhook) I tried on my test system in my office (the production system is in another country) to dial one Zap FXS from another and hit # and nothing happened. 2 part question
Is there a way to record your own voice messages ("Welcome to my PBX, Press 1 for ...") using asterisk and an analog phone, or do they need to be recorded using traditional voice recording software? Also, I am confused as to why my replies to the message board are never indented. Call this the ultimate newbie question, but how should the reply be worded so that I don't screw up
