Persistent variables disappear when dialing Local extension
Hi, My persistent variables (_XXX or __XXX) don't persist when I dial a Local extension. I'm doing a forked dial where the other channel is SIP and the other Local. Is this a known problem? Using Asterisk 1.0.9. My purpose is to fork the original call to two destinations: One going to an "internal" SIP phone and the other going to an external PSTN gateway (also using SIP). So

Help. Why is it that I can call out from my GSBudgetone SIP phone but the audio is "one-way'? Why is it that when I call my asterisk phone number, I get a fast busy?

Autocomplete for phrases
...ts. Also, with a large database (4mil documents) the first query takes an incredibly long time. One idea is to add all possible incomplete versions of each term to the document's term list. For the term 'welcome' we'd also add 'Sw', 'Swe', 'Swel' ... 'Swelcome'. That way we can adjust the user's query to insert the prefix on the final word and then search via a standard phrase search. Not sure what the performance or index size implications of this might be, but we'd be willing to have a shot if this is a good approach. Any advice would b...

Attendant configured AutoAttendant
Anyone have a user configured auto attendant setup? Something that can be used without the * admin helping to make changes. Something where the operator can record the message like 'press 1 for john, 2 for bill, 3 for jean' and then the operator can enter the extension that gets dialed when the caller presses 1 or 2 or 3? This would be useful if Bill leaves the company, the operator can
