Cross Subnet Browsing.
hi, I need a hand setting up cross subnet browsing. Does anyone have some good news group postings, or a HOWTO? I have 2 samba servers, and 2 subnets. Each servers sits on it's own domain/workgroup. I think this should be much simpler than it is, and perhaps I am just missing one or two settings. Of the 2 servers: A, B I would like 'A' to do any serving or hold any

Synchronizing 2 samba linux servers

Samba and Medisoft
...a samba share. I was wondering if there is currently anyone using this configuration and if so then what are some of the problems that I might encounter. The app is currently being hosted on a Winxp pro machine and I need to move it to a server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Scott Swaim

Print Server
Ok, here's my setup: I've had a samba file server going for about a year now. It's Samba v2.05a on a RH6.0 sys. Currently we have a printer server running on a Winblows NT box. This NT box has the following printers: HP5si, (4) HP4000, and a few HP4s. All of those printers have Jet Direct ports on them. What I want to do is, move all the printers over to the Samba box and KILL the NT

How to determine the origin of BROWSE.DAT Entries
...ure that none of my machines have been compromised. When I run smbclient is gives me a list of additional workgroups and the master for that group but I cannot query those machines to find the IP address. Is there any other way to locate the information that I need? Thanks in advanced. Scott Swaim

configure options
Hi, I got an updated TBNG today and am about to compile but I'm a little confused on some of the compile options. (RH Linux 2.2.16 kernel) Could someone answer the following please? What is --with-smbwrapper ? I want to be able to do DFS alla NT ie access \\mymachine\sharename\dir but actually get \\someothermachine\sharename\dir but which of the following options do I use? --with-dfs
