...ramming. I'm about to check
in a new version of the task view that includes packrat and
checkpoint, as they seem closer to reproducible research, but also
feel like coding tools.
There are a few other packages that many would find useful for better
coding: devtools, testthat, lintr, codetools, svTools, rbenchmark,
pkgutils, etc.
This might be some overlap with the HPC task view. I would think that
rJava, Rcpp and the like are better suited there but this is arguable.
The last time I proposed something like this, Martin deftly convinced
me to be the maintainer. It is probably better for everyon...

suggestion for R >= 3.0: computer-readable CHANGELOG

The file NEWS would not change and should be kept to present the same
information in a human-readable format.
Also, a function that lists all functions used in a script or a package
(Romain Fran?ois is working in this direction with svTools package),
plus a function to plot one or several "changes" objects as returned by
changes() on a time axis or "version axis" would be welcome additions to
further track and plot evolution of R, or of R packages for a group of
functions of interest. Finally, a function to eas...

Network from package functions
Dear R-helpers,
does anyone know of some package/function that can build a network from
the functions that are implemented in a package,
i.e. visualize the cross-references from one function to another in the
same or some dependent package?
An example would be a function like 'nls' on top of the hierarchy and
then a network of nodes from the functions that are called within 'nls'
