Problems in logging on to a samba 2.2.4 domain from Windows XP

[2002/11/01 15:36:28, 1] smbd/password.c:(545)
We don't have an administrator account defined in the smbpasswd file,
but we have a local machine account in the Windows XP machine with that
name.
Has anyone seen the same problem and found a solution for this problem?

PS We have many Windows2000 machines that uses the same Samba domain.
They are used without any problems

Long password
...a discussion about long password >8 chars,
the new samba server 2.0.0 and HP-UX 10.20. I worked without any
problems at the old samba server vers 1.9.19p8.
Has anybody found a solution so you will be able to use these passwords
with more than 8 characters at the new vers 2.0.0?

Also check you do not have any ip policies enabled under Local Security
Policy in Control Panel.
