i suspect that there a memory leak in "vmmin"?
...ent). For
moderate replications the procedure works, but if I increase them R crashes.
If instead of the tuned gamma density i use the adaptive rejection sampling
procedure by Gilks and Wild (downloaded from their website) the procedure
returns the results for any number of replications, thus I suspected that
there was a memory leak in "vmmin". I am not an expert in "C" and am only a
windows user. Have tried some of the debugging tools available to us windows
users: gdb, mpatrol, duma without success. Am not sure whether this is a
bug.

[MemorySSA] Potential CachingMemorySSAWalker bug
I suspect something is pulling the RHS of the memorydef and caching it for
calls it should not be used for.
In particular, i suspect we are about to discover we can't cache the
results from both versions of getClobberingMemoryAccess together, or that
the cache is not always getting consistently written....

Input/output error
Hi All,
About once a week, I get a this strange error on bash command line.
Running any command on the command line results in " Input/output
error". Only way to get back to normal operation is to hard reboot the
machine. I suspect this is something to do with my file system. I am
using RH7.3 with ext3 file system on IBM Travelstar drives.
I use dd to duplicate the drives. The source and the target drives are
identical (same make, model) .I am not sure, but I suspect this error
message comes up only on the duplicated drives...

Suspect error in windows version of 3.60
Gentlemen,
I've observed a suspected bug in R-3.60 for Windows 10.
I am using the latest R version, but I have observed the same error in all
releases: alpha, beta RC and released.
Also the same issue occurs in the 32 and 64 bit GUI versions. The program
header I invoke is:

Reporting bugs
I recently subscribed to the bugs mailing list and submitted a suspected bug.
The report seems to be ignored. I am guessing that it is being ignored
because I am not actually an asterisk user and I am unable to supply the
version or configuration of the suspect site.
So then I thought I should get an account for one of the forums. I tried
repeatedly to create an...

CFG normalization: avoiding `br i1 false`
> I'm not necessarily sympathetic to the idea of adding another canonicalization pass only for this purpose.
The problem is that as you said, SimplifyCfg does all sorts of stuff,
and I suspect is not the fastest pass in the world.
Also, in the case that annoys me, there is an LCSSA pass in the
middle, and I suspect it would be a better idea to only do the LCSSA
etc. transform again if no changes were made, which I suspect is the
most common case.

my next question: no accesss
Even if I can find back a share, (which I sometimes can, for no clear reason)
then the next message I get is "no access". I suspect this may be a Linux
config thing, but I am still unable to figure what ownership rights I should
give to the shares: root:root or someuser:users or samba:samba (this
user:group does not exist as yet). What is meant by no access: is it a
Windows or a Unix message (well, I suspect that this quest...

Problems with widgEditor (HTML rich text editor)
...aninblue.com/experiment/widgEditor/
I''ve installed it, following the Aidanf.net''s post:
http://www.aidanf.net/adding-a-rich-text-editor-to-your-rails-application
But althougth it displays well, I can''t write inside; as if it was
Read-only!! I can''t even copy. I suspect that maybe widgEditor doesn''t
work with rails 2.0.2, but it''s only a suspect, the true is that I don''t
know.
¿Somebody can help me? ¿Do you know this editor?
Thank you!!

openvpn client and KDE Network Manager - with CentOS7
...itching from Fedora20 to CentOS7 since I now run all my Linux
development in a VM and I get a more robust feature set (i.e. shared
folders with the host that "just work", etc)
The only issue I have thus far is VPN connections. Looking at what's
installed on my old Fedora install I suspect I need these packages:
kde-plasma-nm-vpnc
kde-plasma-nm-openvpn
NetworkManager-openvpn
NetworkManager-vpnc
However none of these are available in CentOS7, Note I have the centos
extras and the EPEL repos enabled. I suspect that I need rpmfusion but
I don't see that rpmfusion has a repo for...

status on NewGVN?
Greetings,
I just found a bug in NewGVN: https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35839
I noticed that it's off by default in clang.
I'm going to turn it off by default in zig too, since it has a bug.
What's the current status? Are we trying to move towards using it by
default in llvm 6.0.0? 7.0.0?
Regards,
Andrew Kelley

OT - yum missing from a RHEL4 server???
Hi List;
Sorry for the OT post. However I suspect if anyone outside of RH can help with
this question it would be this list.
I'm starting a new contract with a shop that knows little about Linux and I'm
helping pave the way. I've "inherited" an existing Linux install (RHEL4). I
want to setup some tools but I find that yum is...

Why is looping in R inefficient, but in C not?
Hey,
I just read another post about calling R from C. Someone on
stackoverflow (DWin makes me suspect its David W.?) referenced this:
http://www.math.univ-montp2.fr/~pudlo/R_files/call_R.pdf
Which made me think: Why is a loop in R bad, but in C not?
And where exactly does looping cost the most? I wrote a piece of code
for my bachelor's thesis where I loop from 1 to 500, and estimate a
boost...

Trouble Donating on centos.org
...from the credit card processor, but from
PayPal.
I setup e-commerce sites so am very familiar with on-line credit card
processing. Also, I just used this card online a couple of days ago
successfully, and I know I have plenty of available credit.
Has anybody else gotten an error like this?
I suspect PayPal is blocking this, not my credit card company. I
suspect, too, PayPal is doing this to reduce their own costs rather than
protect centos.org or me from a fraudulent transaction. I have a PayPal
account that was set up a few years back as a test based on a PayPal
offer to me, have never us...

OT: Suggestions for database for physicians patient records?
..., for his secretaries, regardless
of what software he goes with. I did some reading about MySQL, and I
also did some googling for Linux+database and there are many other
databases out there. One requirement is that one field be variable
length (patient history: surgeries, treatments, etc.), which I suspect
might vary from 200 words to 3000 words. That field size needs to be
very flexible. If there are "front ends" that will make it easier for
his secretaries to input patient records to the database and access it,
that will be a "plus". It would also be a plus, but, it's not ma...

FWIW, this data seems to clearly indicate that we don't get performance
wins with any consistency when the code size goes up (and thus the change
has impact). As a consequence, I pretty strongly suspect that this should
be *just* used at O3 at least for now.
I see two further directions for Dehao that make sense here (at least to
me):
1) I suspect we should investigate *why* the size increases are happening
without helping speed. I can imagine some reasons that this would of course
happen (cold l...
