Asterisk, QSIG and Tenovis PBX?
Hi,
we are still trying to properly connect a Tenovis PBX to an Asterisk server
(asterisk 1.2.6, libpri 1.2.2, zaptel 1.2.5, Digium Wildcard TE110P), this
time with QSIG.
Calling from a Tenovis phone to a SIP phone (i.e. traditional phone ->
Tenovis PBX -> QSIG -> Asterisk -> SIP phone) works with the following

boostrap an nls regression
Hello there
I have the following model based on the hollings disc equation for the type
II functional response for 2 data sets:
nls(eaten~(a*suppl)/(1+a*h*suppl)
where eaten is the number of prey eaten by a predator and suppl is the
number of prey initially supplied to the same predator.
I have parameter estimates of 'a' and 'h' for the two populations studied
and would like

bonjour,
je voudrais savoir s'il serait possible de sugg?rer aux d?veloppeurs
de R de proposer une option suppl?mentaire pour les moustaches, ?

i would like to know if it is possible to have (with the agrement of

What steps to take
Hi list
I'm attempting to list windows shared printers in Unix. That's really all
that I need and I can't install Samba on the machine I need to list the
shared printers from. I started analyzing the smbclient code hoping to
extract the necessary info but as you all know it's a daunting task.
Certainly for a C novice.
Which is why I want to ask if there is anyone out there who

OpenVPN tunnel and one-way audio - Do I still need a SIP proxy?
Hi Everyone,
I have setup an OpenVPN tunnel between Server A (running Asterisk) and
Server B suppling it's SIP Phones with DHCP pool of IPs.
So, the tunnel is established nicely and everyone can ping others. "sip show
peers" shows the local subnet of the SIP Phones registered (192.168.100.0/24
).
But there is the old bad one-way audio. Calls also drop after few seconds.
In the SIP

Typos in writeLines.Rd, readLines.Rd, and data.matrix.Rd
Hello,
The diffs below are based on revision 37445 and show
some typo corrections for writeLines.Rd, readLines.Rd,
and data.matrix.Rd that I'd like to bring to the list's
attention.
Sincerely,

nlm, hessian, and derivatives in obj function?
I've been working on a new package and I have a few questions regarding the
behaviour of the nlm function. I've been (for better or worse) using the nlm
function to fit a linear model without suppling the hessian or gradient
attributes in the objective function. I'm curious as to why the nlm requires
31 iterations (for the linear model), and then it doesn't work when I try to

n-levels of nested resources in REST?
Hi,
I find it would be very convenient to nest resources in two levels, so
a member is only sensible as a part of a club, and a fee pament is
only sensible in the context of a club and a member.
Is it possible to nest nested resources? How would the syntax be?
I have tried just nesting the assignment in routes.rb, but failed to
get it right
What do ou think? Is it possible?

Help with permutation function from Turner et al. 2010 (Ecology)
Hello,
I'm using R code that includes a residual permutation that was written as a supplement to the paper:
Turner et al. 2010. A general hypothesis-testing framework for stable isotopes ratios in ecological studies. Ecology 91:2227-2233.
The supplemental code is available at: http://www.esapubs.org/archive/ecol/E091/157/suppl-1.htm
When I execute the function, no warnings are given

Unexpected parameter problem using rsaga.geoprocessor() {RSAGA}
Hello,
I discovered SAGA, an interesting free GIS, a few days ago and now, I
would like to use it from within R 2.6.2 using the RSAGA package. I read
the documentation for this package and thought that I understood it
correctly for trying to call some of the SAGA modules. For getting the
information on the usage of and arguments required by the SAGA command

S-code for piecewise regression
Dear R-helpers,
a S-code for piecewise regressions was provided by Toms & Lesperance
(2003) Ecology, 84, 2034-2041 (paper can be found on the web). The code
is quite complete with different types of transitions around breakpoints
and model selection fonctions.
It doesn't work directly under R due to some "translation" problems I
guess. However I reckon that it would be a

Salut Alex.

conducting GAM-GEE within gamm4?
Dear R-help users,
I am trying to analyze some visual transect data of organisms to generate a
habitat distribution model. Once organisms are sighted, they are followed
as point data is collected at a given time interval. Because of the
autocorrelation among these "follows," I wish to utilize a GAM-GEE approach
similar to that of Pirotta et al. 2011, using packages 'yags' and

Tail area of sum of Chi-square variables
Dear R experts,
I was wondering if there are any R functions that give the tail area
of a sum of chisquare distributions of the type:
a_1 X_1 + a_2 X_2
where a_1 and a_2 are constants and X_1 and X_2 are independent chi-square variables with different degrees of freedom.
Thanks,
Klaus

Mac OS X + Samba + NT = Snag
After much nashing of teeth, I have compiled and installed Samba on Mac OS
X! The following lines (or something like them) should probably be added
to the config.guess file in the samba/source directory:
Power*:Darwin:*:*)
echo powerpc-apple-darwin${UNAME_RELEASE}
exit 0 ;;
I added them right after the "mac68k:OpenBSD:*:*)" section.
I was not able to get the inetd installation

Medical Breakthrough... aging can be reversed with HGH
There are three different types of HGH products.
The confusion is that all three are
advertised as if they were the same.
The three types are:
1) --- Homeopathic HGH
2) --- Pre-cursor HGH
3) --- Real or synthetic HGH (delivered by injection
or, by an oral spray method).
Do you know differences?
Call us and we'll explain them to you.

Fitting with error on data
As this forum proved to be very helpful, I got another question...
I'd like to fit data points on which I have an error, dx and dy, on each x
and y. What would be the common procedure to fit this data by a linear model
taking into account uncertainty on each point? Would weighting each point by
1/sqrt(dx2+dy2) (and taking dx and dy as relative errors) in a lm() fit do
the job? I would like to
