Looking for info
Dear All,
This may at first seem a bit odd but I
am hopping to find some info that I feel
would help the Linux community as a whole.
With so many different flavours of Linux
and with each distribution doing their own
thing there doesn't seem to be any easy way

Dear Peter,
first: thanks for the very prompt reply,
I am not sure I would like to download
400+ meg file on my 56k modem though.
Can that CD be purchased on line?
Maybe some background here is needed:
I am using SuSE Linux 6.4 and dual booting

(transparent iso compression) even if the isolinux directory is not
concerned by the compression ?
That's all.

I could not set a fixed root device as this cd should be bootable on other
systems with cd drive as /dev/hdd or something different, too.
So my question is, is there a way of letting syslinux

feature requests for 3.01
...'t checked yet,
but the release notes for comBIOS 1.26 seem to promise a fix for this
problem, so you should probably try upgrading to that.
I wont have my box at hand for a couple of weeks, but if its something simple
(a bit-mask), perhaps you'd consider it.
thanks for all your software (superrescue etc..)
