[UART] GPS 18-5Hz LVC and COM1 silence, OK on Linux though...
Hi, I'm having issues connecting Garmin GPS 18 to COM1 on 9.1, I get nothing but silence. Identical setup works absolutely fine with Linux. I've got PPS wire connected to DCD, but that seems to make no difference on Linux, so I presume it shouldn't affect fbsd either. On Linux, I get: $ uname -a Linux ubuntu 3.8.0-19-generic #29-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 17 18:16:28 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64

Maybe there is a superman here who can get this too work. I''m going to post my sql dump to produce a very simple database. If anyone can get rails to work with this THEY WILL BE MY HERO!!. This is the statment I would normally use to create the join. "select * from parent, child where parent.number = '...

score for wildcard searches
Hello All, I have a rails app that maintains movie data index and uses "acts_as_ferret" for search. I ran into an issue with the scoring of wildcard searches. When I search for word "super*", the record containing the word "superman" is ranked above the one having just "super". Is this normal or am I missing something? Any ideas on how scoring can be controlled so that the shorter word is ranked higher? Thanks. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Missing DNS entry in an AD-DC provision.
...rries - thanks for the help ! Turns out the record was there, they were typing the wrong realm name on join :-). Samba AD-AD supports another file serving vendor ! (Non Samba based :-). > No worries and just to say thanks for the famous T-shirt, it has > arrived and I can now pretend to be superman LOL. Thank SerNet ! They made the t-shirts and posted them to you, I just asked :-) :-). Cheers, Jeremy.

Converting an LDAP server to use Samba 3
I know this might not be the best place for this, but I'm hoping someone else has done this or knows what I need to do. We have a Linux LDAP Server (OpenLDAP 2.0.27) serving unix accounts to Linux and OS X machines. To get it to serve to OS X machines, I copied over the 'apple.schema' from an OS X box. Itr seems this schema file depends on things defined in the Samba 2.x schema

Missing DNS entry in an AD-DC provision.
Hi Rowland, I'm here at the Microsoft plugfest trying to help a vendor join a Samba AD-DC (I just did a standard local provision on my laptop using the internal DNS server). They fail due to looking for a DNS name of: _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.sambadom.example.com (I provisioned with the standard realm name of sambadom.example.com). Should we be creating this record on provision ? It seems

A rails app server, maybe?
Hi all. Like many of us, I''m currently struggling with Rails deployment. Like maybe only a few of us, I''m responsible not for one or two webapps but dozens. Currently, we deploy them as war files using JBoss'' hot deployment feature, which amounts to copying a war file to a directory monitored by JBoss. Undeploying the app amounts to removing it from the directory.
