R for HP Integrity Superdome...
Hi,
We just installed a HP Integrity Superdome (an Itanium-based SMP

at our National Center for High Performance Computing.
I would like to run R on it and use the hardware optimally. What is
the best way? Is there a parallel (openMP ?) version of R. Or can one

Good afternoon,
We currently have R installed on our HP Superdome. However, we are getting ready to migrate from RISC to Itanium 2 chips running HP-UX (not Linux).
Does the latest version of R run on HP-UX Itanium 2?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Michael

The problem is that you get the following error when connecting:
"Disconnecting: Bad packet length 218777966."
It looks like this mpSSH is based on some older version of OpenSSH which

This might impose some serious issues with recovery scenarios like backup/restore since it will take quite some time to backup/restore a multi PB system when it resides on just 1 physical host even when we''re talking high end P-series, I25K''s or Superdome class.
I''m not a coder but am heavily involved in the storage industry for the past 15 years so this is just some of the things I come across in real life enterprise customer environments so these are just some of my mind spinnings.
There are some more however these would be best covered...
