Textmate "e ." in the Video
>From the newbie corner... In the demo video our illustrious Rails guru summons textmate with "e ." from the command line, magically opening textmate within the context of the respective rails app. I downloaded textmate, love it, but want to know how to make the same magic happen from the command line, rather than having to open the app via gui in the Applications...

?Common CLI Wrap Bug Strikes WINE?
...at that is why it turns out that way, whereas dragging something in seemingly instantly throws that all up at once. Also, when you try to use the up arrow key to have what you entered at the last (or earlier) prompt show up at the current prompt, when the terminal window is narrower than the "summoned" line is long, there is strange behavior. If you edit this "summoned" line in any way, or even move the cursor with the left arrow key, the moment you do, the entire earlier entered line (or as much of it as possible) is put at the current graphical line, replacing the remainder th...

...Why social scientists don't use R
...enge is not understanding the documentation, but finding it. Once I know the names of one or more candidate functions I am happily on my way. One of the delights of reading r-help is that one keeps discovering useful functions. In the best of all possible worlds I could ask an intelligent agent to summon up the k-nearest neighbor functions that would "do X." Not likely. Years ago StatSci Europe published a handy little "Complete Listing of S-PLUS Functions", categorized in some way. I found it useful. Something similar for R would not go amiss. I know, it would want to be 420 pa...

dofus : Enripsa Soloing Guide
...ntages include a wide damage range and inability to use when allies are in its area of effect. Leek Pie is extremely effective for Eniripsas and recommended for offensive abilities. Striking should be considered optional, though it is often effective in certain situations. Invocation spell such as Summoning of Chaferfu could be another option for the solo Eniripsa. The advantage to using a Chaferfu is its neutral damage attack, which can be quite helpful when fighting monsters with high fire resistance. However, it is only summonable once and has a bad habit of attacking friendly targets. Lastly,...

congratulations to fletcher penney
big congratulations to fletcher penney on his release of "multimarkdown composer". at #21-paid when i purchased it just now. i'd say $9.99 will be best in the long-term -- don't listen to people who say more -- but $7.99 is the _right_ introductory price. word-of-mouth will be what sells this pup, so you want it to flow copiously right now. -bowerbird -------------- next part

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Road map for CMake
Hi LLVMDev, I wanted to take some time to write up and roll out a proposed road map for CMake over the next few months. Apologies in advance for the substantial 0/7 Wall of Text I've summoned here (it only cost me 3 swamp mana). The main thing I want to talk about is PR21562. For Apple PR21562 is the biggest reason we can't fully abandon autoconf. I've spent some time over the last month hacking on compiler-rt's build system and I've come up with a basic outline of th...

Representing X86 long double in Debug Info
I'm in the process of teaching the Verifier to validate that the size of debug info variable and the described value matches (already caught a couple of bugs, both in my frontend and in LLVM itself). However, I've run into the following: size of passed value (80) does not match size of declared variable (128) call void @llvm.dbg.declare(metadata x86_fp80* %x, metadata !11, metadata

Samba 4 moved mount.cifs and umount.cifs to /usr/local/bin/?
...n installing the mount.cifs and umount.cifs utilitis: those wind up in "bindir", not "sbindir". Was that change deliberate? If not, it's going to mess with RHEL and similar operating systems where those system utilities are not normally accessible to users, and are normally summoned from the "mount" command with the "mount -t cifs" option. It's especially going to break autofs. Any observations or suggestions on how best to address that? I can move them to the "sbindir" as a post-install process, but that's begging for confusion.

Re:linking notepad++ to stata under Wine (taijimaomao)
...). You didn't accidentally put some of it in one WINE drive folder, and other parts in another, did you? Did you have to restart Windows to get it to work in Windows? The wineboot command can simulate a restart, maybe that will help. Does the Stata process have to be already up for Notepad++ to summon it? Did you make sure to put things in your WINE folder (and from the perspective of treating that folder as %homedrive% - usually C:), and not follow paths (directories) from the perspective of the root level of Mac's mount hierarchy (often called "Macintosh HD". The place of the pat...

net_failover slave udev renaming (was Re: [RFC PATCH net-next v6 4/4] netvsc: refactor notifier/event handling code to use the bypass framework)
Sorry for replying to this ancient thread. There was some remaining issue that I don't think the initial net_failover patch got addressed cleanly, see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1815268 The renaming of 'eth0' to 'ens4' fails because the udev userspace was not specifically writtten for such kernel automatic enslavement. Specifically, if it is a bond
