Asterisks integration with pre-existing PBXs
Several people have asked about integrating asterisk in a company that currently has a PBX installed. Considering the capital outlay for most PBXs, depending on the model and age of the system, most companies do not want to look at replacement. So, what should one look at in a PBX in order to integrate asterisk into a pre-existing PBX? I have read of some systems with T1 interfaces, but what

Problem reading large tables

The function call runs to completion, and I get back a valid table object. However, starting at column 999, the table records the value TRUE when it should record T (T's in columns 998 and

echo cancel from telco
I get an echo when going from a SIP phone to a PRI trunk. I hear the echo on the SIP phone. From reading some other post I think that I need to tell me phone company to turn on echo canceling. If the echo was on the other end than it would be my problem? Is this right? What exactly should I say to my phone company so they know exactly what I'm talking about? -- Michael Sampson

Bridging R to OpenOffice
Dear members of the R Development Team, I am looking for people with a deep understanding of R internals to assist in bridging R to OpenOffice. While R is a state of the art statistical environment, less experienced users often find it difficult to work with R. Therefore, I believe that a bridge between R and a spreadsheet program will make this transition less painful. I sincerely believe

TEST 3 If you get a "connection refused" response then the smbd server may not be running. If you installed it in inetd.conf then you probably edited that file incorrectly. If you installed it as a daemon then check that it is running, and check that the netbios-ssn port is in a LISTEN state using "netstat -a". Note: You have xinetd not inetd on the redhat box.
