epel-5.2 trying to upgrade to 5.3

I just installed CentOS 5.2 (x86_64), and everything was fine. After
installing the "epel-release-5-2.noarch.rpm", and issuing "yum
check-update", I can see that "epel" is trying to upgrade to version 5.3.
First I didn't notice the problem, and after upgrading, I got the
message "error sumary" when updating the system.
It seems that the x86

Hi R-users,
I have a problem for updating the estimates of correlation coefficient in simulation loop.
I want to get the matrix of correlation coefficients (matrix, name: est) from geese by using loop(500 times) .
I used following code to update,
nsim<-500
est<-matrix(ncol=2, nrow=nsim)

Samba4 - Cannot get quick test to succeed
Hi All,
I'm currently using/testing samba-4.0.0alpha15. I downloaded the tar
ball, followed the Samba4 HOWTO wiki at
http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO and got stuff working
pretty well. I have experienced issues with GPOs and such and dynamic

Bursty writes - why?
I have a 24 x 1TB system being used as an NFS file server. Seagate SAS disks connected via an LSI 9211-8i SAS controller, disk layout 2 x 11 disk RAIDZ2 + 2 spares. I am using 2 x DDR Drive X1s as the ZIL. When we write anything to it, the writes are always very bursty like this:

FireWire Security issues
Hello,
looking into the issue described in the advisory below I wonder how to
tackle this issues. Primarily
I ask myself
* is there any reason not to filter all physical memory access by default
* what would be the appropriate way to change the filter set? a sysctl?
